I and my friend Tuomas went to Belgrade for a week and made a song each day from sounds we sampled at a new media conference. Each song has a story. Here’s the whole set – may I present the Prince of Serbia EP.

Croquis drawings, starting from 5 min and ending up in 3 minute drawing of a face gone wrong. Some of this is fine, but mostly I just suck at this.

A Chilicorn logo I drew at work for our company's program called Spice. I wanted it to work as an emoji, hence the pixel art. Plus, it just looks cool.

A friend took a great self portrait. I wanted to try my blackest black charcoal.

More live model drawing. I tried exploring a different charcoal drawing technique and it feels much more natural to me than just drawing lines. Here I grayed out the whole paper and started sketching masses with the flat side of the charcoal, and only after that I moved to drawing lines and more refined details. As an added bonus it's really easy to start working in shadows and highlights.

It occurred to me that I've never made a self portrait. I quite like the giant eyes, realism is highly overrated. Charcoal on paper.
