I’ve also realized how unhappy I was in high school.  I often claim that high school was the best time of my life.  I reminisce about my friends from those years.  I’ve realized: they were never truly my friends.  I was nothing more than a trip sitter.  I fell in with the wrong crowds but I was always too scared to partake in any of the activities (ie., drugs).  I was the caregiver of the group.  I thought I had friends.  I thought I had found love.  I hadn’t.  

I drowned my depression in band memes and gifs about relationships I for which I had no foundation.  I lived for the attention I got from anons.  I was so incredibly sad.
