You come up with all of these scenarios in your head and they drive you mad. But the truth is they’re all an extension of the same thing: you want someone and they don’t want you back.

I know shits different now but I hope you’re well and you’ll always have a special place in my heart and I know that doesn’t mean much to you because you’re heart is sitting in the corner of my room where you left it. I know it’s different between us now and you don’t understand why I walked away but you deserve someone who can love you as much as you love me.  When shit hits the fan I know you expect me to stay and work through it with you, but darling I’m a runner and I’ll always be looking for a way out. I’m sorry I couldn’t be what you needed but thank you for loving me.

She’s the type of girl who gives her whole heart to everyone. She puts her entire self in all her relationships, no matter the kind. She never stops trying, even when she should, and she cares for for so many people. And that’s the thing though, no one has ever cared as much as she had for them or tried half as hard with her as she did them. No one stops to put in half of the effort she put in with them, and it’s not okay that she has to pick up her own heart again and again, dust it off, try to fit the pieces back together, and then hand it right back to the people who keep dropping it. It’s not okay that she fights so hard and tries so hard with people who take her for granted, and it’s most definitely not okay that she’s always there for everyone, no matter what they need, but you know who’s there for her? Who stops and takes the time to see how she’s doing or what she needs? Can you tell me who checks in to see how she’s coping and how her heart is or where her mental state is? Can you tell me the last person who stopped to reach out on their own just to see what’s been up with her? I can, and it’s no one. And that’s not okay.
