are you're broken?

oh how lock wished that the sudden appearance of another person while he was holding a half empty gasoline can in his hands was just a once in a lifetime thing, but unfortunately, third time’s a charm. “and when you say the hots for you, you mean literally, right?” the frown on his face only deepened as he spoke to the other, as he came to show off his little liquid toy and the box of matches he had in hand, ready to be used. “don’t test me, babe.”

having lived in the center of paris his whole life, he had grown quite comfortable in the unique experience that was high class paris. but the part of berlioz that craved a normal experience, learn what it would have been like to grow up around people his own age he wasn’t related to. so berlioz had been working up the courage to sit at the mad hattery & tea parlor alone. it had given him a chance to watch the people rotate in and out of the store. he sipped his tea, tapping his fingers along to a melody in his head. as he had looked down, he hadn’t notice someone finally sit at the table next to him. as his mouth dried up, trying to think of something to say, “bonjour,” he stopped himself from wincing physically, “how are you?” he spoke, words thick with his french accent. he would need practice.

ah, caffeine. the legal drug that everybody his age, and others in general seemed to love indulging on, no matter the time of the day, nor it’s ridiculous price. it certainly bothered lock that the few places in town where he could get his fix seemed to always be packed, but alas, store bought instant coffee just didn’t hit the same way, and so he had to suffer just like any other foolish mortal. “huh?” he winced as some voice seemed to be directed at him. “i’m fucking great dude,” the guy replied sarcastically, chuckling as he actually noticed the pale kid next to him. “nothing like waiting for watered down iced coffee on a sunny day.”

“oh, i’m not confused.” lock explained, his head shaking to a slow pace for the other to understand better whatever playful and cruel lie he was about to come up with next. “i’m just trying to tell you that they’re coming for you, if you keep that up.” 

“would you mind keeping it down? you’re not the only one in the store.” he said, meaning to imitate her tone and pitch as best as a dude could. “if you don’t like it, you can go sit somewhere else.”
