maya can’t help but laugh at his eagerness, a hand coming up to cover her mouth. blue steel eyes dance with delight as she grins back at her newfound travel partner.
’ it’s not nearly as impressive when i am one of the only sirens you know, tim. and i’ll bet lilith will beg to differ, you know. ’ she teases gently, shaking her head in mock disapproval.
she considers his last question, ’ well, as long as there is no more need for me or my skills…i will have to give my goodbyes, of course. you will as well. but we can head out then. ’
maya brushes back her grown out hair, aquamarine locks reaching her shoulders now. ’ i have plans to return to my home planet; athenas, first. but from there the entire galaxy is out there for our perusal. ’
’ i am sure we can find information of all kinds on sirens and eridians on any planet we visit. and with jack gone, well we have all the time in the world now don’t we? ’
The mention of the redheaded siren had the doppelganger shrug in a nonchalant manner; his taste for her... were not the best, so he bit his tongue before he said something that he’d surely get an earful for.
He nodded quickly at the proposition of saying goodbye to those he knew- which, granted, weren’t all that many. And a few of which he didn’t really think he needed to say anything to; not that he didn’t WANT to, but he wasn’t sure if they’d entirely appreciate him suddenly popping up and announcing that he was running off- leaving all he knew behind. Then again, they might try and talk him out of it.
The thought of his old friends - Athena, Janey, Aurelia, Nisha, Moxxi, Wilhem - would they have been sad to hear him leave? He was sure the most former would at least want to speak with him before he disappeared. He could always talk to Moxxi... but the thought alone filled him with a buzz of nerves. Maybe he could send a letter.
“Uh, y-yeah!” He quickly said, snapping out of his thoughts with another nod of his head. He wasn’t the most knowledgeable when it came to sirens, having only studied them when Jack had prompted, but he knew enough to get a good start to how he could help on their search.
“There shouldn’t be a lot holding us back or stopping us either,” He mused, bringing a hand up to curl under his chin as he thought aloud, “But, if there are, we can take care of ‘em no problem. We’d make a pretty badass team.”
