City living but a true Mainer at heart..

My parents have a contract on a house in South Carolina and I am SO EXCITED. We (well I guess they not me) have lived in the same house in Maine for 27 years, so this is kind of huge. Having them 6 hours away instead of 10+ is going to just be amazing. They will be in North Myrtle Beach area, I have never been so excited to explore a new area come September! Also, going to be SO weird not having my parents in Maine anymore, my extended family will all still be there, but definitely not the same. 

So Jeremy moved in back in February which was supposed to be a one month thing while his brother and sister-in-law were in between places when buying a house. It is now April 21st and he still hasn’t moved out, even though his apartment has been empty for a month and a half. It was SUPER early in my head for us to be moving in together but it has gone SO well and honestly was a great trial run. It has gone so well that he is listing his apartment for rent this evening and fingers crossed that he finds someone quickly, he will “officially” be living with me. It slightly blows my mind how much my life has changed in the last 6 months and I couldn’t be happier! 

I joined a dietbet thing this week (which basically you bet $30 that you can lose 4% of your body weight in a month). In conjunction with that, I decided to join weight watchers as it was being run by a weight watchers coach. Jeremy offered to do it with me as well, so we are now both 4 days in. Neither of us have huge amounts of weight to lose, but really just want to be healthier and be in our best shape. So far is has been great, we have been meal planning and totally on top of our points. To add to that, we have decided that we should make it a regular thing to take Jolene on long walks after dinner. We’ve been averaging about hour long walks and with the weather being so great, we have both just really been enjoying that time together. 

Yesterday we were playing tennis in my neighborhood and this woman was stringing a long rope between two trees and we couldn’t figure out what she was doing. Turns out she was just practicing her tight rope walking.... 

My receptionist is wearing a crop top today, we have semi casual office attire (supposed to be business casual but jeans on random days is common), buttt a full on crop top? 

A true sign of when I am really overtired is I do weird things in my sleep. Last night I apparently jumped out of bed, stared at the wall and kept yelling NO, STOP! Until Jeremy convinced me to get back and bed that I was just dreaming. To make matters more embarrassing, I apparently kept denying that I asleep and was adamant that I knew what I was doing. 

One more day at work (a shortened one at that) on Monday and then I am off for the next 14 days, CAN NOT WAIT! I am headed to Maine the 22-27th and then down to Florida 29-4th. It is going to be ALOT of travel, but so worth it for all the family time!

Last night I finished up all of my wrapping and this morning I pretty much finished up all of my packing for Maine so that means that I can just enjoy the funfilled Christmas activity packed weekend

Tonight I am headed to J’s friends house to bake cookies and decorate ornaments, tomorrow helping J finish up his Christmas shopping and then we are off to a fun dinner with friends and then an ugly sweater party, Sunday I plan to stay on the couch all day with Christmas movies and then a double date night for Ramen and Zoolights. I’ve been wanting to get to zoolights for years, so excited to cross it off my list.

This week has been a rough one, and all of the tension has resulted in some awful neck issues. I gave in and went to the chiropractor on Wednesday and I’m hoping with one more visit on Monday they can get me fixed up, as otherwise the drive to Maine is going to be all kinds of miserable.

I have a massage and a hair appt scheduled in Maine on Wednesday. Helllooo day of pampering. I am sure there are much more important things I could be doing with my limited time at home, but the prices are SO much cheaper and after my neck issues this week, I think they are both needed.
