I know all 3 people who actually cares to read what I post are probably sick of me talking about this show I've made it no secret that I don't and won't watch, but this NEEDED to be addressed.

As you no doubt heard, the finale got leaked, and fans were blaming Glitch for it. That's called "victim blaming," and it's beyond abhorrent. But I think the victim blaming from her fans may have been contributed to her apathy toward the situation

Frankly, I think that's a valid response to all of this; her fans harassed her because they didn't like who she said the main characters of her show were

I want to feel vindicated that I was never a part of this fandom that proves Dr. Cox was right,

Gameoverse is getting released today. I HAD been interested in it... right up until I learned that, if the protagonist wins, she'll irreparably ruin the lives of everyone in the world. So basically there are two possible outcomes to this show:

Either

A: She succeeds and we're essentially rooting for the villain;

or

B: She fails and we're wasting our time in hoping wanting her to win.

I'm as sick of talking about Digital Circus as fans are of hearing me talking about it, but this HAS to be talked about, because what the actual FUCK man? Gooseworx said that Pomni and Jax were the main characters, and fans decided that this was a valid reason to jump down her throat, and now she doesn't want to touch the series with a 39 and a half foot pole:

But this is on another level; I never expected they would bully the creator.

I've talked about this show more than shows I actually like, and I'm going insane, but even so, I can't not talk about this. I've said before how the content of the show is horrific to me, but even if it wasn't, I still wouldn't be able to watch it knowing its fans are like this:

If you're new around here, using something for a glorified dick measuring contest like this asshole did will turn me away from it faster than you can say "not interested;" doubly so if I like what they're using it to put down.

If I may, why does EVERY fanbase use their favorite indie show to shit all over Hazbin like this? You'd think fans would allow all these shows to coexist, but instead, they want to incite competitions that don't need to be a thing.

I don't know why I keep talking about this show that horrifies me on every conceivable level, but it REALLY is astounding to me how The Amazing Digital Circus gets less and less appealing the more I hear people talk about it. You'd think that fans of a show would sing its praises to get people to watch it, but I guess not, because here are a few examples of what people have told me about it in what I presume were attempts to get me to watch it:

"Psychological horror"

"Inspired by 'I Have No Mouth and I must Scream'"

"The creator loves ending her stuff with 'rocks fall; everyone dies'"

"The characters aren't actually trying to escape their suffering" (more on that later, because HOO BOY)

"The entire point is to make the audience uncomfortable" (I got this response when I said the premise made me uncomfortable)

If I didn't know better, I'd say that Digital Circus fans are TRYING to kill any odds of me giving this show a chance... in fact, I'm STILL not convinced that isn't the case. Remind me why I'm supposed to want to watch this show again? It's like Code Lyoko if Zack Snyder directed it.

When a show revolves around a bunch of people suffering and trapped in a digital hellhole, my first thought was "Maybe I'm supposed to want to watch it see the characters inevitably escape their torment and go home?" But apparently that's not the case at all. For starters, Goose apparently has a track record of ending her shit with "rocks fall; everyone dies" meaning that the characters probably weren't going home even IF that was why we're supposed to want to watch it. But more importantly, a fan told me, and I quote, "[the characters'] main goal isn't to escape its to learn to cope with their new lives." Well shit, then. If I'm not supposed to want to see them escape and go back their happy lives, then why the fuck AM I supposed to want to watch this misery porn?

Honestly, and I say this with full sincerity, I feel like I dodged a bullet by not being interested in this show. Not helping is the fact that the entire cast got really emotional - some to the point of crying - when they read the script for episode 9, which is apparently the last episode; that makes it feel like Goose pulled her "rocks fall; everyone dies" shtick and gave her audience the finger again. It really feels like the whole point of Digital Circus - much like Bojack Horseman - is to wallow in pointless misery. Then again...

Wallowing in pointless misery is appealing to some people, so maybe I'm just not the target audience for misery porn (he said knowing full well that a cheerful person such as himself is DEFINITELY not the target audience for misery porn).
