It's hard to hide things from a clingy demon friend? boss? more-than-friend? who knows how to teleport and likes to make surprise visits into your room!

Always loving the trope that involves miscommunicated proposals! In this case, maybe mbj gave sqh a family heirloom and sqh belatedly recognizes what a priceless artifact is in his hands. MBJ is, for his part, incredibly proud of himself and having a "he said yes" moment.
