Im so glad that I chose to embrace my hobbies and interests rather than hide them like I used to. Summer 2020, right after moving out of my parents place, I made a conscious decision that I was gonna face my fears and start expressing my love of collecting plushies and care bears and cute things in general more publicly, be it friends, family, or strangers alike. I expected to experience a lot of teasing and judgment, but I was ready for it. What I was not expecting was just how much LOVE I received back. I was getting strangers complimenting me on my care bear shirts, my pink hoodies, my plushies I was holding. My friends started sending me care bears and plushies they found in the world cause it made them think of me. In 6 years I can only remember a few people who ever talked down to me about it, and most of them apologized later for it and now are very encouraging. I remember TONS of random positive encounters i had with stranges and friends :). Yall, believe me when I say its worth it to be proud of yourself. To outwardly enjoy your hobbies and interests. If I hadnt made that life decision to face my insecurities I would not be where I am today, in a big pink bunny fursuit laying in a giant pile of care bears plushies. My friend who took these pictures can attest that pretty much the entire time I was just reiterating how happy I was.
