Fool like me
Stop hiding, little fool. The world may be a broken place but so are you. Putting on quiet comfort is not leading or brave. Indulging easy things when challenge is your lover is adultery. Don’t look the past in the eye and shudder. Acknowledge your sin and accept that wrong and right are not jewels to put on. Sloth is deadly more than cigarettes. God would rather you smoke and shine than sit and wither. Too many find solace in skin for you to not breathe in cancer and escape your cage. Stop hiding behind doubt and insignificance. These are lies told by the world to keep you broken. Broken people threaten no one. Mended and limping rather than resting silences little fools like us.
That, That, That, There.
On a bar napkin, July 14, 2015 Or That, That, That, There.
That one owns one’s body is a privilege men and most Westerners don’t recognize. That and being bigger than others. That and writing on bar napkins about the body philosophy - don’t neglect the body politic, because as long as it’s poetic nonsense registers as profundity even at Chuck Bukowski’s, which is a joke and where I am and true. It’s not funny but absurdist tragedy which isn’t a real thing because the absurd is without expectation by necessity. Just like the writing on to bar napkins unless you’re J. K. Rowling or a date rapist. Hope’s number means she feels her name; Dom just wants to stick the dick.
This is just a storybook to cleanse your lips. Read aloud, press over, and remove what came before. Let my pen tip tickle your tongue later on like my penis when you loved it and only wanted me, not loved. You and I would be forgiven
for mistaking the feeling of an Eros hurricane - our orgasms the eye of the storm and our skin the whipping wind. It’s called erosion. The power
to wear away stone has been known since before we knew words by which we could learn new worlds.
The forceful and lightest delight of hair moved by other’s hair in the night, of skin sticking with other’s sweat or breath, gives birth like birth - forceful exit - to the music and math of carnality - a moan in time with the other’s - before intellect can be interpreted by notes or numbers. Knowing what won’t be taught outside of touch that a love like this cannot be caught. That a love like this is overwrought.
Just a thought.
Life is a terrible way to start a sentence. The assumption a capital letter and a punctuation mark can contain infinite is silly at best.
I stood with you On the Bridge of Gods. And what for? To be honest you were a stupid sort of aloof. In your head better really below.

Prophecy
I give you flowers. By the time you reach for them they are shriveled dry.

Cheerful eyes speckle the crowd, both men and women, airport smiles, glances.

What makes a man kill, take breathing nature away? Humans shed skin, too.
5/14/15
Nature flows in words exoticized, like people seen through others' eyes.

Tore my vocal cords singing Something in the car and no one heard me.

The first shall be last Jesus' easiest riddle The last shall be first
Making up for lost time
So I lost momentum on this project, but I've written five crappy haikus, in no specific order, while waiting for my flight this morning. Enjoy, or don't.
I've been told that beds are not for days
I've been told that beds are not for days. One can only be so many numbers. My heart, body, and mind are someday strangers. Trees sometimes grow around fences man-made of wire. You will know more in a moment than a lifetime if you believe this sentence. Circular logic and crucifixes are kisses and hugs for my soul.
There's a fly giving birth
There's a fly giving birth In my brother's spoon of cereal. The larvae are emerging from her belly Into the milk and Fruit Loops. I am maybe nine and terrified. I won't outgrow these feelings.
Hello stranger
Hello stranger You are all possibility and I am a blank slate. I feel alive In your empty object. i listen to pop music For the same reason: To be within my body And nothing else of my wake. Only My skin holds scars Telling of hidden things. Will you ask me of them? Will you see the stories I withhold?

You’ve gotta have blue hair. - Strongbad
She had blue hair when we met. In 1998, that was radical. In 1998 in Missouri, that was punk. Mostly post-punk, but anarchist and cool.
He always put words to me, tried to pin me down and work me out until I let him with his body, with his hands on my wrists and be-
tween my hips I clutched him into me with my legs. She ate mostly lima beans in the late 90s. She said “Anarchy”
through gritted teeth and half- chewed clumps when she smiled. He didn’t study as hard as me, even though my tuition was free -
the books I found on the street, what I read at the local library. “A civil liberty” I would remind her, something her lawless fever dream
wouldn’t concede - too many regulations. I would complain about the looks he gave my armpits when I refused to shave. She’d yell
“Fuck you!” offended and genuine. Like words that don’t mean something you can bite with your teeth matter. And she’d say things that cut -
about how I approached the world. He sees things through sieves instead of glasses; forgets the touch of an intentioned fist. And when
she hit me for the first time I felt God. The anger and raw became glittered stars. He is the bringer of my undoing.
He is the one who catches at the wrist gently, not pushing back. I can feel his vision clearing behind my hand.
Challenge
Look through a calendar at a clock. If needed, soak the paper in lemon juice to make it translucent. If digital, print a copy on matte - glossy calls too much attention to surfaces. Light a flame behind the clock - analog to be clear. What do you see? I forgot to mention - bleed on the face of time for good measure.
Did you expect an answer?
