I had a lot of people tell me not to post this, because it's embarrassing or too much information to share with the whole world, but I honestly really want to post this because I want everyone to truly understand what this day means to me. I am receiving my Juris Doctor, something that was never in the plans for my life and I am so shocked that I am standing where I am today. Today is a celebration, not just for me but for everyone that helped me get to where I am today. Thanks to my supportive parents, my encouraging family and friends, one dedicated professor and an undeserved amount of blessings from God, I get to say today that I have a Juris Doctor. I went from this 0.8 GPA after my first year or community college in 2009, to the woman you all see before you. It wasn't easy and those of you that have been with me through the past decade or so can confirm that. I want to thank those of you that have helped me get me to this day. First and foremost, my parents who sacrificed everything in their power to support and love me even when I made mistakes. My brother and sister-in-law have listened to me rant when I'm upset and gloat when I'm proud. My best friends before and in law school, JVSSL, #trouble, Boyfriends Club, etc-I'd name them all but not every group has clever names that fit so well in this post. I'd also like to thank my adopted family in Danbury, Connecticut that made this place seem a little bit more like home. I can never truly describe just how thankful I am for all of you.
