Frankly it’s disgusting that the Denmark team had to form a circle around their teammate to prevent cameras from poking all over him, and the fact that national broadcasts showed his distraught wife after the collapse.
As sports fans we complain all the time about how broadcasts don’t show great coverage of plays, and how we miss things because cameras won’t focus on the important stuff and won’t pick it up.
How can they leave out parts of the game, what we actually watch for, but the moment a player collapses on a field and his wife is freaking out, rightfully so, suddenly that needs to be broadcast for the whole world to see.
Sports culture, specifically the injury aspect, is disgusting.
Christian Eriksen and his wife deserve respect during this time, not this being blasted all over a national broadcast for money. It’s sickening that they’d do that to him, but not surprising in the least.
