Ah, two of my beloved Bloodborne OCs…. I’ve been drawing them and thinking about them a lot.

So I’m going to start a little series where I kind of ramble about them a little bit to get some context out there.

BASIC INFO:

- Reena and Oliver are full siblings.

- Reena is about 7-9 years older than Oliver, and was somewhat parentified so where she has some sort of a son AND brother type of relationship with him. The two of them are very, very close.

- Reena’s real name is Loretta, but Oliver struggled with her name and nicknamed her “Reena” as a young child.

- Their mother is of Vileblood descent, though there is no clear indication of how related she is. Her parents went to Yharnam in hiding originally, and she found herself living in Central Yharnam somewhere across the bridge from Oedon’s Tomb.

- Their father is a Yharnam hunter, who got into a lot of trouble when he was younger and shouldn’t be qualified to be swinging ANYTHING around ANYONE. He’s sort of a failure child in that regard. He’s a brother of Gascoigne, making Gascoigne the biological uncle of Reena and Oliver.

- Their father had extreme jealousy issues with Gascoigne and his status and work with the Healing Church, and wanted his children far away from him due to his own inferiority complex, so they rarely ever saw him or spoke with him during their early childhoods.

- As I mentioned, Reena was somewhat parentified and cared for Oliver due to their parent’s neglectful behaviors. Their mother was a quiet woman who didn’t do much besides read (on occasion) or organize, maybe cook on occasions, while their dad was somewhat hotheaded, loud, and ignored many of their needs because they needed to ‘grow up’.
