she intertwines her fingers with his , leaning her head on his shoulder . “ the younger they learn the better . i was thinking of teaching oakley how to pick a lock , but considering that he doesn’t even know how to talk yet maybe it’s just too soon . ”

He smiles and holds her hand happily. “As soon as he learns to walk we’ll teach him. Before he’s even potty trained. That’s an important skill in my eyes.”

“ you know exactly what to say . ” eyebrows raise suggestively , wetting her upper lip . “ let’s make sure everyone knows who runs the world now . ”

He smiles and kisses her cheek then takes her hand. “I’ve been teaching Benjamin how to steal. It’s fun. He’s a natural. Amelia already knew.”

“ nope . ” she says , popping the word . “ i made sure everyone knows she’s with our cause , so she shouldn’t be in any trouble . ”

“Good. Now what do you say we wreak a little havoc on the world? Cause some mayhem?”

shoulders shrug and eyes look up at her boyfriend , silently reassuring him . “ of course they will be fine . ain’t no one in this world who can hurt us anymore . ” sugar-coated truth , there were still heroes that wanted to fight back & villains that didn’t agree with uma’s regime , but hey they’ll cross that bridge once they come to it .

“How is your sister? She’s not in danger is she? I know he’s not technically a villain, but she’d probably never go against you. She’s told me how much you adore her.”

❝    please    let’s   get    drunk    .    if    i    hear    any   more    prissy    princess   singing    ,    i    swear    that   heads    will    roll   .    ❞    a    jest    ,    but    not   really    .    the   villains    were    rising   and    it    made   casia’s    wicked    blood   boil    with    adrenaline    .

He smiles adoringly at her. “I’ll order us drinks. I can’t wait to get drunk. This night with you has been amazing so far. I adore you so much.”

    “don’t think i’ve ever personally met ‘er meself. but the name sounds a tad familiar.” there were a lot of people around, though. “as am i. an’ thank ye, i appreciate tha’. rather not ‘ave tae deal with the fallout on tha’ one jus’ yet.”

“She’s delightful. I’ll introduce you one day. She’s the least scariest girl I’ve ever met, although she is to be feared. She’s just not mean to me you know? She’s caring.” He smiles. “I wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt. He tends to fly off the handle doesn’t he?”

      “gotta admit i’m a but surprised ‘bout tha’. but ‘m ‘appy fer ye. glad ye could find someone.” even if it felt weird being so open about these feelings. “tha’ i am. perks of being with a cap’n means she can marry us. we jus’ went fer it. an’ – not exactly. he thinks i left ‘er.”

“She’s amazing. You’ve met Casia right? She’s the daughter of the Cheshire cat.” He smiles. “I’m glad you two are married, and you can trust me to keep your secret alive. I would never tell. Hook would go off his rocker.”

Irey pretended to be shock. “I can’t believe they’ve tried it but you haven’t.” She looked at all the flavors before making a choice. “Can you get me a scoop is mint chocolate chip?”

He nods and orders her mint chocolate chip ice cream cone. He orders the same thing. “I’m not the biggest ice cream eater. I prefer cookie dough.”

    head turns to eye the other with a curious look. alright, so he hadn’t been expecting anything like that. “huh. interesting,” the pirate muses with a hum. “as long as yer ‘appy. we’ve been good. uma an’ i got married officially. eventually gonna marry gil an’ carlos.”

“Yeah. I never thought I’d settle down, and with a female no less.” His eyes widened. “You’re married? Oh my shit that’s so amazing. Congratulations. Does your dad know?”

she    was   practical    ,    logical   .    never    a    romantic    .    which    is   why    it    surprises   her    how    easily   the    words    slip   from    her    lips   .    ❝    i    love    you   too    .    ❞    it’s   barely    above    whisper   and    only    for   his    ears    to   hear    .       

He smiles. “Let’s go dance yeah? I wanna hold my gorgeous girlfriend and dance all night. Okay well we might get drunk too because why not.”

she    fails   at    holding    back   the    gleeful    smile   and    for    a    moment    looks   like    an    enamored   high-schooler    .    is   this    what    happiness   felt    like    ?    without    further   ado    she    brought   his    face    to   hers    ,    their   lips    only    confirming    her   next    words    .    ❝    exclusive    it    is   then    .    ❞

He smiles and kisses her back, not caring who saw. He was so happy in that moment. He loved her so much. “I love you Casia.” He said as he pulled away for air. “You’re so amazing.”

❝    wait    —   ❞    pause    mid   walk    .    she   looks    up    to   him    ,    hazel   hues    looking    into   his    as    if   searching    for    something   .    ❝    are   you    serious    ?    ❞    no    one   was    ever    serious   with    her    .    hot    bod   &    sharp    tongue   .    all    she   was    ever    good   for    .    ❝    are   you    serious    about   me    ?    ❞    please   say    yes    .    

He nods. “You’re the only female I’ve ever loved.  You’re it for me. You’re my home and my life. I want you to be mine and I want to be yours.”

what    was   it    about    him   that    made    her   melt    like    a    chocolate    souffle   ?    casia    would   probably    reprimand    herself   for    caring    if   she    wasn’t    too   busy    shamelessly    checking   him    out    .    ❝    thank    you   .    you    clean   up    nicely    too   .    ❞    her   lips    lift    into   an    innocent    smile   ,    contrasting    the   ever    present    gleam   of    mischief    in   her    hazel    orbs   .    ❝    this   one    and    every   following    one    .    ❞

He smiles at her. “Thank you. I’m so happy we can share this time. Maybe we could make it more official? Only if you wanted.” He looks at her hopefully. He’d never felt this way about a female before. He was so scared to even ask her what he asked her.

Davlyn was overwhelmed. He had to buy outfits for three people, and this was his first gala. But every worry went out the window when he saw Casia. “Oh my God you’re gorgeous. May I have this dance?”
