𝔊𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬.

𝟷. first off, this was going to be a very low activity blog but i'm hyperfixating a lot. that said, the vibe on this blog will remain chill, more writing-focused than aesthetics & such.

𝟸. just general rules, don't be an asshole, racist, transphobic, the list goes on, just no. (i thought it was on my rules, but it should be obvious that as a trans man i will hard block anyone who writes muses of media who support these things too. i offer no grace about this, and i don't bother much with it either, i just block and goodbye forever.) i like to keep a chill friendly vibe on my blogs & plan on continuing doing so.

𝟹. i write entirely based off vibes and whim and usually don't write replies that are short. the only thing i expect in return is for people to not feel pressured and to write at their own comfort, fast, slow, more, less, whatever is your vibe.

𝟺. NOT spoiler free, i will only be tagging spoilers from the episodes still not aired for free because well, obviously not everyone has the means to watch paid content. else it's pointless, this entire blog is a whole ass spoiler.

𝟻. i write sir julien as a trans man, obviously, for two very important reasons: because i can and because i want to.

𝟼. for interactions, the easiest way to get things going is through memes, always feel free to send as many, at any time, and turn them into threads or leave them as they are.

𝟽. i'm not that good at plotting and find that i generally find my way better through dynamics while writing. this is by no means set in stone, it's just what i've found works best at the moment and because i don't want people to think i don't show interest, i'm just socially awkward lol.

𝟾. i love ships, i love to write shippy things. Also always feel free to send shippy memes, no need for plotting. Doesn't necessarily promise a ship but it's a fun way to explore dynamics. I feel you can't know if there is chemistry unless you see them interact and Julien is very positive towards 'romantic' approaches too lol to say it politely (i mean he's very sexually open and a complete libertine but also an absolute Romancer and Lover).

𝟿. also because of how bad i am at communicating lol it should be said i wil never try to push any sort of dynamic on anyone, i'm pretty shy about it tbh, and i backpedal very fast if i don't sense the same in return. i just would never want to make anyone uncomfortable or push any sort of narrative they are not interested in!

𝟷𝟶. i'm very heavy handed about headcanons and love to yap a lot and theorize, as i said above, please never feel this tries to force anyone's portrayal if i mention other characters, it's just my own characterization of julien. also needless to say but, we're just getting to know these stories so of course things are bound to change / be retconned. i just like to have a lot of info and words words words when i sit to write a character.

𝟷𝟷. a wide-blog trigger warning about themes of addiction / substance abuse, since it's pretty central to julien's character. there might be mentions of self-destructive behaviour or suicidal ideation. I don't dive into these things gratuitously and I'm mindful of with who (if at all) and how they are explored. i personally don't have any triggers.

𝟷𝟸. I'm comfortable writing nsfw, tho it will rarely happen and probably not that graphic. I don't use a read more except to cut posts that are too extensive, all will be tagged though.

𝟷𝟹. I don't generally do mains or exclusives and the whole thing makes me a little antsy lol. its just cr fandom is tiny and i don't like the idea of making it any tinier or making people feel left out (i know that's not what mains and exclusives are and of course everyone is free to do it btw). but i do like to intertwine stories and i very intentionally avoid retracing the same dynamics which also i find it doesn't happen because people write their own characters very differently. the only exception at the moment is i don't see myself shipping with any another azune except @ 4zune.

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

𝕻𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:

For a war hero with a fame for deadliness and capturing the ‘villainous’ rebel Thjazi Fang, Julien is younger, smaller and prettier than most people expect. A young man in his late 20’s, long, thick and curly hair down to his waist, green eyes and delicate features. He’s shorter than most men and muscularly compact, like a dancer or an acrobat. 

There is something slightly fae-like about him, that for the most part is easily dismissed as a trick of the eye, something in the rosy glow of his skin or the wicked shine of his eyes. The playful meanness of his grin or the elegant, almost unnatural way he moves as if his rapier was an extension of his body.

There is only one scar on his face, a little cut on his top lip, like a chipped cup. The rest of his scars remain on his body, battle scars for the most part, and two moon-shaped scars under his pectoral muscles. 

He wears only light armor, his rapier, a green moss cape with intricate designs, and the famed gauntlet that marks the legendary fighting style of House Davinos.

To the trained eye, honed to perceive the veil beyond death and the hungry things that crawl their way back to the world of the living. Julien’s shadow can be perceived as particularly darker, at times seeming like it cloaks possessively around him and weighs him down. It is not always evident as a curse that ties him to the shadows of the dead, but can appear unnerving at times.

𝔓𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞:

Julien was a rising star after the Falconer’s rebellion, the darling boy of the noble Sundered Houses, who loved to parade him around like a trophy. In certain social circles he has a fame for debouchery and decadence, often found at most parties in the city or at the Golden Orchard. In those places it’s well known of Julien’s many lovers, some within the houses themselves. But he’s never even entertained the idea of a true courtship or settling down with anyone, and he’s been careful to not give anyone the slightest idea of it.

Outside those more libertine circles, most that is known of Julien is his battle prowess, even as a boy he was feared by the rebels. The older son of the Vassal house of Royce, a noble house gifted to protect the door to faerie and the Golden Orchard. It is said he disappeared from the public eye a couple of years ago and has been training the Barrowguard at the edge of the eternal night. A decision most confounding, as it is a force that consists mostly of commoners, not a place where a first son of nobility would find himself willingly.

To the Falconer’s veterans he is known and hated as the man who took down Thjazi Fang. In a way, betraying his own family. 

𝔖𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:

The oldest son of House Davinos, a vassal house of the great House of Royce. Furiously loyal to Lady Aranessa Royce and sworn to protect her. 

Even as a boy Julien went against what was expected of him, replacing gowns for the sword, learning to fight under his father’s tutelage, making use of dirty tricks and fast feet to compensate for his smaller build. 

When he was around 16 years old he joined the fight in the Falconer’s Rebellion, fighting for the interest of the noble houses. Against his father’s orders and against the wishes of Lady Aranessa, he faced the hero Thjazi Fang and (according to the story) defeated him in single combat. He did not end the Falconer’s Rebellion, but the capture of Thjazi and his surrender to the Sundered Houses was a deadly blow the rebellion never recovered from.

Years after, his rising star fell, dimmed by the endless parties, and the many vices that were available to him. He was offered many things to keep him distracted and in time he developed a dependency to these things. He escaped his shame over his false defeat of Thjazi, the disappointment of his family, the emptiness of his own life in the bleak stupor of wine, warm bodies and for the most part, opioids. 

He hit rock bottom and came close to dying, when the Barrowguard was suggested to him. He went without expecting much, far from any ideals of ‘the greater good’. But he found satisfaction in training the soldiers at Castle Torch, a simple life being just another soldier, away from the intrigues and political games of the nobility and his own family. For them he was just Julien Davinos, admired for his excellence as a fighter, his good looks and his charm. No one cared about who he had been, what he had done, no one cursed him or praised him for it. He was not by any means reformed, many of his vices remained, the wine, the companions, he escaped many of his duties and preferred instead to spend his time fighting and jumping into danger beyond the barrowdells and the eternal night. But he found true happiness in that life and came to love the place, the true camaraderie and the single focus of their work. Being the darling of the Barrowguard it turned out was a happier life than being the poster boy for the noble houses. 

In the present time he came back to Dol-Makjar to accompany his Lady Aranessa to witness the execution of Thjazi Fang. A ruse, it seemed to get them all back within the grasps of House Tachonis and their plots for power. The outcome is the death of Thjazi, the utter destruction of House Davinos and House Royce. It leaves Julien with a single minded, self-destructive goal to kill Primus Tachonis and everyone responsible for the death of his family.
