May The Force Be With You ✶

oh! darling! you hardly needed to convince me. It was a lovely evening walk. thank you for the wonderful photographs. I loved the company, the view, the long and lovely talk with you two. After a long time feeling like we’ve all been moving around in little separate orbits, that momen was beyond perfect. The whole trip was nice most of the time. I had some tense moments because of my roommate but I already miss it. There’s something about being near the ocean that resets me a little. Good food, good drinks, good people… and just enough distance from work to almost forget emails exist. Almost. everything was very nice. now, what's next for you and z? are you back home?

I am missing those walks that we all took, especially with that view. Zendaya and I try to go on walks as much as we can around our neighborhood in the mornings, but you know it doesn't really compare to those Cancun views. Oh, yeah? Tense moments? I am not going to pry at all, but if you want to talk about it then I am willing to hear all about it. It was nice, right? Just to kind of forget about everything going on back home, and just focus on an amazing vacation. We are back home, and just making sure she's getting all the pregnancy rest. Have you jumped back into work at all?

totally! and i have a lot of fun kicking butts, training hard in order to bring to life one of these women. I really love what i do and you i know for a fact you know what i am talking about. hey! you would never seem too nerd for me. i am the same! we can be nerds together. i left last night, i am already missing the vacay mood and i know i will be griefing for the food like every time i leave mexico. i participated in all the activities. and you? did you have fun? what was your favorite part?

I do understand what you are talking about, because it really is so much fun. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that we get to do this as a job. Alright, then it's settled. So many nerd conversations when we hangout now, I promise. I had a lot of fun, and I think the best part for me was hanging out by the river with my girlfriend. She's pregnant so we couldn't get in or anything like that, but just admiring the view and hanging out together was really cool for me.

PRIVATE: David! I may need your help, but you can't say a word to Aaron. I'm planning a surprise party for his birthday, and since I'm in Atlanta with him while you guys are filming, I feel you may be the best person to recruit for a distraction. If you could just like take him for lunch or whatever on the day so I can make sure all is good with the setting up for the party without him suspecting I'm up to something. That would be brilliant. And I do hope that you and Z will be able to come! But I know she's going through it so I won't fault you if she's not feeling up to it. @davcorenswet

Private: I love this idea, and I am so in. I am going to take this job very seriously, and I promise that I will have him out and make sure that he doesn't suspect a think. Z and I will be there! She'll probably want to get out of the house if I am being honest because we've been making sure she's getting a lot of rest since we got back from the trip, so I know she'll jump at the opportunity. I will make sure we change out of our set costumes too, because it would be really funny to show up to the party in them.

Exactly! One small breadcrumb and suddenly it’s a full-blown theory or headline. People will take anything and run with it, it’s kind of wild. No need to worry, mate. Feeling both nervous and excited is completely natural. It’s a big life change, but I think you’ll surprise yourself with how well you adjust. And I’m telling you now, your little one will have you wrapped around their tiny little finger instantly! I don’t have kids of my own, but my girlfriend has twin girls, and they’ve absolutely stolen my heart. It’s just a bond like no other, you know? I’m over the moon for you. Do you know the gender yet, or are you keeping it a surprise?

I got faith in us though, man. We have to ask some people on production if we can be teamed up together when we do press. That way we can be there for each other if the other starts to slip up a little bit, or say something they shouldn't maybe say. Like hit the other real quick with their foot. I am both so nervous and so excited to meet this little person. We do know actually, and we are going to announce it really soon. We've told our families already, but wanted to make a little announcement to friends and on social media.

it has and i'm glad too, and especially now with you about to really have your hands full. congrats though, ready for fatherhood ? look — it happens, but hey, when you get through the rough it makes things so much better. so far, my favourite this had to be seeing the butterflies. it was so beautiful to see. you got a favourite ?

I don't know if I am ready, but I am ready to try my hardest to be the best dad that I can. It helps to have a partner in all this like Z though, I will tell you that. I think the river was my favorite thing. Z couldn't do too much, so we just kinda stayed by it and spent some time together. It was really nice.

It really does feel like the universe had good timing with this one, doesn’t it? I’m so glad we’re on the same page about needing this reset. You’re so sweet for being so understanding, baby, but I still absolutely owe you an apology. You didn’t deserve any of that. And seriously, how perfect are you? You’re too cute for that, I swear. I promise I won’t overdo anything, I’ll be good. Wait, you maybe have signed us up? My sweet, sweet social butterfly, I just know that “maybe” means I should mentally prepare to leave my cozy lounge spot. Well… that is, if I can actually get myself up and moving. The baby is fully locked in on taco cravings.

I am glad that we were able to finally head home. I thought that there was about to be a problem, and these people were about to experience an angry and pregnant Z. They would have been done for. I feel like we managed the taco cravings and the sight seeing pretty damn well, babe. I am proud of us. We did eat a lot of tacos, yes. We also saw some beautiful sights. Now that we're back though, I am going back to pamper mode so just let me know anything and everything that you need. No craving is too weird, so just let me know and I will try to get it.

okay, i'm not missing you and your girl while here. me and nick are ready for it, plus been too long since me and you hung out, right ? hope you too are enjoying the trip so far. i feel this came at a time that was much needed from everything else going on in life right now. ( @davcorenswet )

It had been too long, so I am glad that we were able to make it happen. Like you were saying, it came at a perfect time for us. I know I kind of mentioned it to you, but we were going through a little rough patch, so this really did come at the perfect time. What's your favorite thing that you've done here so far?

you're more than welcome. once i heard that "the politician" would have different seasons through the years, but it never happened right? it's a shame because it could have been very interesting. oh i love kicking butts in films. i think i'm good at it. i don't know a badass woman is the kind of characters that fit with my personality. i would love to hang out! i've talked to Z and i promised to take her to the best restaurant in town so of course you're invited to our girls' plan.

I think it does fit your personality perfectly too. Just a kickass person, and also a kickass personality. I am glad that we were able to all do something here, and we should try and grab dinner one more time before we head out. I promise less nerd talk from me this time, because I feel like you guys were both wanting to find the off button on me the whole time. You've been having a good time here though? Have you gotten to any of the events that have been taking place?

Are you ready for a much-needed getaway to Cancun? I think we both need the reset. I… I know I haven’t been the easiest person to be around lately. I’ve been overwhelmed, tired, emotional, and I let all of that spill onto you more than I should have. I’m really sorry, babe, you didn’t deserve that. I just want us to enjoy this vacation, breathe a little, reconnect, and get back on track. I miss being close to you and feeling like we’re a team, so let’s leave the stress behind for a few days and just focus on each other, okay?

I feel like it's coming at the perfect time, right? It's like the universe knew that we needed this right now. You know that you don't have to apologize, babe. I understand, and like you said this is going to be a perfect reset for us. You already know that I am going to be making sure that you are okay the whole entire trip and you promise that you won't overdo anything? I'll get you anything that you need. I've also already maybe have signed us up to hangout with a few people.

You know, I agree those are way above our pay grades but doesn't mean we can't drop hints and make things at least so they try and happen. Not going to say it will, but never say never. Well thank you, appreciate that and I loved your version of Superman. Think that's one thing we get to see so many versions based on how people play. Which I will be the first to admit that my Batman isn't for everyone and that's okay. Now this is where I get to grill you because I just found out both Z and you are having a baby? I'm late to the party, I don't do social media.

Here's to hoping that the stars align and we can share the screen together, man. Even if it's not in capes, because still I would love to work with you. No matter what the project is. We are! We are expecting, and I seriously can't wait to meet them. I am counting down the days. Since the trip is upon us though, can we try to do something? Let's take a look at what the trip has for events. It's already damn gorgeous here, and I needed something like this. It's perfect timing.

Superman! Hi there!! While I was trying to find something to watch on Netflix, I saw The Politician recommended. I remembered watching it when it first came out, and that was the first time I ever saw you. I got obsessed with the show… and with you. Then I saw you in Hollywood, and now you’re Superman. Wow, thank you for that. It's something I am definitely proud of, and I met a lot of people on that project that has really helped me out. You're too kind, but I could say the same thing for you. I've been watching your work, and you keep doing really amazing stuff. You are such a badass in a lot of projects, so I need to see you beat more people up on the screen. Hopefully we can try to hangout on this trip?
