Sitting on my usual thinking spot, I look up to the right at my surroundings and I see peeling paint around the window frame in this dusty bathroom in a home that is not my own. I scan the scene and find myself looking higher up at the edges of the wall to ceiling. "We will fill in the gaps once the paint has dried" Karen said. "This looks so beautiful with the white wall!" I pointed out the red Christmasie table cloth with the centre piece candles in their new living space. I'm impressed at their lack of aesthetic and quality in their home, it makes me think they do not care for comfort. 'lay your treasures in heaven'. Perhaps this is her skill, to live and to be and to wait till heaven comes. At the doors of His Kingdom she will enter and be beautified and restored. And when I'll walk the same path as she I will find her and be awed at her beauty which was marred on that earth. She is radiant in His glory and promises! "You are radiant, Eve! My, how splendid you are." Karen will say through her smiling heart. "Oh look, could that really be him? William, is that you?" I can barely recognise him. "Eve, at last!" He will say to me after years of wearing his grey filled spectacles. "You are so beautiful, I never knew!". "William, you are so beautiful and majestic and full of His glory in your heart. You are shining! !" I am to blame for not seeing clearly. We are all to blame, my love, yet we are forgiven and made new. "You are beautiful, my William." I am so terribly sorry
Oh, forgive my poor heart and lack of sight Father God, almighty one, my saviour Jesus Christ.
