Dateables Taking Care of Sick Homeowner (p.2)
I had fun writing the last part, and you guys like it too! So even though I ain't sick anymore I just had to do more of these~
Featuring: Ben-hwa, Bodhi Windbreaker, Chance, Dorian, Dunk Shuttlecock, Luke Nukem, Mateo Manta, Nightmare, River, Teddy, Timothy Timepiece
When they noticed you weren't feeling well, Ben-hwa encouraged you to lay down immediately and rest. Doesn't matter if you're in the middle of something, it's gonna have to pause
If you accidentally sneeze on them, they joke about how they aren't into virus-play (usually gaining an eyeroll and groan)
Always has an endless amount of tissues at the ready for you
One day they surprise you in a sexy nurse costume and offer to make you feel all better (you still aren't sure whether the nipple cut outs were hand done or not)
Refuses to take the costume off while they take care of you. The garters are a key component of medical care
Surprisingly quite good at taking care of you. Ben-hwa is quite attentive and level headed during emergencies
Brings you a lot of fresh fruits to eat! Occasionally they'll bring you a fruit platter and have cute snack times together
Hand feeds you strawberries. Intimately, of course~
Depending on certain factors, you might find a lot more pineapple on the platter, if you know what I mean (wink wink nudge nudge)
As much as they love to tease you, Ben-hwa knows when to pull back and give you space. Being sick can be genuinely draining and they want you to get real rest
Still offers sex if you desire. They know for some people it can relieve stress, but it's whatever you're comfortable with that matters
Openly is very very happy to see you feeling better again, happily giving you a big kiss in celebration
One day you were having a coughing fit while you gamed together, and Bodhi actually got worried you were gonna throw up with how aggressive it was
Once it was confirmed you were sick, he was ready to do whatever you need! He'll set up the bed or couch soooooo comfy for you, I'm talking pillows and blankets galore!
If you give him permission, he would love to make a blanket fort
He knows you're sick, but Bodhi still wants to do date nights. So, since you guys can't really go anywhere, Bodhi pivots and focuses on movie nights instead! You don't have to move and it's still engaging
Likes to just sit on the side of the bed or end of the couch and hold your hand, talking about anything that comes to mind
Reminisces about when his grandmother took care of him when he was sick, and god his smile is so sweet
Does frequent check ups! Bodhi will pop in to ask if you need anything or to ask if you're feeling alright every 10 minutes or so
Sometimes, Bodhi will randomly come up and excitedly show you something cool he just saw! Like once he got a really cool rock from Beau once and just had to share
He already did this normally, now he gets a little embarrassed when he finds out he woke you up accidentally (the groggy look on your face makes him feel so guilty every time)
Sings to you if you ask! He's more used to power ballads but he's been practicing slower songs for more gentle moments
Stays pretty lighthearted throughout, but if you're sick for more than a couple of days it's clear he's uneasy
His questions will be more frequent and you'll need to reassure him everything is alright despite how you look
Sometimes he'll just stand in the doorway in silence, fiddling with his hands nervously
He knows everything will be alright, but seeing you bed ridden for so long just makes him feel awful. And honestly? A little scared
Once you get better he is RELIEVED! Expect a lot of celebratory kisses and hugs from him
The way he noticed was kinda funny. You were playing a game of G&G and you were currently in the tundra. Occasionally you'd sneeze throughout the session and he thought you were just really getting into it
Yeah, when you eventually sneezed all over your character sheet and looked genuinely embarrassed, Chance put 2 and 2 together
He puts a bookmark on the session and ends it early
He encourages you to lay down and take it easy while he cleans up (if you offer to help he'll insist you let him take care of the mess)
Chance has always been efficient when it comes to clean-up, but this time it was done in record time!
Very attentive and happy to help in any way. Even if it's something minor like relaying information he won't complain
Treats them all like side quests! Both of you get really into it, with you even playfully giving timed quests
Relaying information is the most fun, small talk get turned into elaborate messages
One afternoon he came up to you while you were resting and placed some small bottles and vials on the nightstand
He happily boasted about his proficiency in potion making and assured you they would make you feel better by improving your constitution! (it's just regular medicine in them don't worry)
The "potions" aren't gonna taste the best, but his big dorky smile is sweet enough to combat it
If you start to feel a bit better, he'll offer to continue your session in bed, or even a quick one-shot. Chance would love to come up with a low stakes game for you guys, so you don't get bored laying down all day
Sometimes your sneezes will knock over your dice (don't worry, Chance will give you a mulligan)
There will be a lot of cuddling once you fully recover. He mentioned how much he missed it, but he was underselling how much he wanted you in his arms again
For a few days Dorian was asking if you were feeling alright, pointing out things here and there that worried him
Eventually he came up to you one day and wordlessly put his hand on your forehead. The intense warmth made it clear to him that you were indeed sick
Takes you to lay down immediately. If you have plans or work, Dorian is gonna call in for you and cancel (if they have a problem, they can answer to him)
You can choose to be stubborn about it, but this man is too. He won't back down from making you rest
Nice classic caring partner. Does all the staples; feeds you soup, tucks you in, gets you glasses of water, etc.
Strict with medicine! He is gonna make sure you take every dose needed
If you don't like something, speak up! If the food is bad or he's bothering you, Dorian wants to know. He won't feel bad or upset, speak your mind and let him know exactly what you need
Before he leaves he always asks if you need anything. Even when he pops in for only a minute, he won't forget to ask
Tells you if you ever need him, give him a call. No matter what time it is, no matter if he is out of the house. If you want Dorian, he is going right to you in record time
If your throat isn't doing good, he gives you a little bell to ring in case he's in the other room when you need him (you don't use it often, but when you do you can always see a small smile on his face)
Very protective of you since you're in a more vulnerable state. Dorian is careful who he lets in to see you and keeps an eye on them (he knows nothing will probably happen, but he isn't taking any chances)
Once you seem to get better, he'll place a soft kiss on your forehead to make absolute sure you're okay
He noticed you were getting fatigued faster and got really worried. One day he had to lay you down gently on the yoga mat due to you being lightheaded
Frankly Dunk thought he may have been pushing you too hard during your work outs!
When it was confirmed you were sick and not negatively affected by Dunk's coaching, a lot of his tension left him
Stays by your side throughout it all, big smile on his face
Genuinely suggests bringing the whole bed into the gym so that way he can be by you 24/7
Hey, that's classic Dunk. Sweet intentions, questionable feasibility
We all agree he is the Golden Retriever Boyfriend type, right? Well it especially shows when you ask him for something. Dunk will run to grab it like a dog fetching a tennis ball
Sometimes you'll mention something offhand and he immediately go "GOT IT!" and dash out the door
Already being an advocate for proper rest time, Dunk has absolutely no problem with you not doing your daily group exercises
But man, he misses doing them with you sooooooooo much!!! He'll have the cutest little sad look on his face while he works out alone
Instead he'll encourage you to just do some small leg stretches to counter all the time you've spent laying down. Keeping those joints limber and all
Knows a lot of good protein and health shake recipes! No matter your taste buds, he has the perfect recipe that you'll love. Everyday he'll bring you one he freshly made
And I'm talking fresh. He squeezes the fruits, chops the veggies, goes the whole mile for ya
Already gets annoyed when Kristof butts in on your workout sessions, but gets REALLY peeved if he tries to bother you while you're sick
You've always known that Dunk is protective of you, but it still shocks you when he stares down an over 6 foot Norwegian Viking
While not as serious, he's also quite good at keeping Shelley at bay so she doesn't overwhelm you too much. She's super sweet and means well, but she's still Shelley
Once you're back on your feet, Dunk is super excited to finally be physical with you again!!
At the first sign of sickness, Luke was convinced it was swarmer related. He didn't know how, but he just knew those lil fuckers were up to something!
Was incredibly relieved at the news it was just a cold! He wasn't looking forward to the possibility of intimate swarmer extraction (he's currently all out of homemade anesthetics)
Super attentive and there for your every need! Anything you ask for he will use all his power to give you at record speed
Being a top tier soldier, he's quite efficient and on point 24/7
He'll cook anything you wish! Luke is gonna make sure Freddy is giving the ingredients pronto with no resistance! (I mean, it wasn't like Freddy was gonna with hold them from you or something, but hey Luke wants to make sure)
Well, reheating food is your best bet, that's his specialty. He isn't the best at cooking from scratch but will if you ask! (Please be kind he's getting better)
One time when you asked him for a dish he didn't know, the moment he left the room you instantly heard him yell Stefan's name in a frantic panic
On the other end, Luke has been practicing baking on the side, so expect some amateur sweets to make you feel better! It's really cute how he'll show off a tray of your favorite cookies with a nervous look
Stands guard when you rest. He is not gonna take any chances of the enemy taking advantage of your weakened state, no sir!
One time Bev came to say hi and a startled Luke instinctually raised his gun and threatened to shoot her
It was easily cleared up but you made sure to tell the rest of the house to make their appearance well known to avoid anymore Luke jumpscares
States he can stay awake all night for you (and frankly all the power crank makes that possible)
Eventually you can drag him down to lay by your side and force him to get some shut eye
Can't wait for you to get better and back on the battlefield with him! Stomping out swarmers just isn't the same without you by his side
Although he won't admit whenever he is feeling ill or tired, he won't let you do the same
If you show any signs of fatigue Mateo is gonna make you lay down, or at the minimum just take a small break
He actually keeps cold water bottles available for you whenever needed
Although he deeply appreciates your help around the rescue, it matters way more to him that you rest
If this man's gentle worry isn't enough to convince you, the inanimals will quickly guilt you with their cute little sad faces
When he checks up on you, he likes to joke that the inanimals have been rowdier than usual since they like you more
One time while you were sleeping, Davie ran in and pretty much pounced on you. Mateo wasn't far behind calling the dog's name in vain
No matter how much you try to tell him it's okay, he is gonna feel awful about it
Absolute bedside angel. Mateo is well known as a very comforting person, and that energy just doubles when you aren't feeling well
Being a blanket, Mateo knows about comfort. And after being with you so long, he knows exactly how you want your set up
You'll be sleeping so damn good like never before (I'm talking both sides of your pillows being cold type shit)
Voice already being calming, somehow when you're sick it gets even more soothing. He'll be talking to you softly, trying not to raise his voice too much
If you request, he has absolutely no problem laying with you and cuddling. In fact he would be ecstatic to!
While you cuddle he'll often start humming softly. I don't blame you if you fall asleep into his arms, Mateo certainly doesn't mind one bit
Even when you sleep with the Dateviators off, you swear your blanket is somehow extra snuggly
Once you begin to feel better it will take a bit before he lets you do hard work around the rescue. His brain acknowledges that you're back to normal, but deep inside he is afraid of you getting hurt/ill again
The nights leading up to the peak of your sickness, you started to have more nightmares than usual
Nightmare was happy to see you more often, but was quite concerned about how many night terrors you were having
She actually stopped one of your sessions halfway through when you clearly were out of it
Taking you to the side in the darkness, she brought up your condition and showed clear concern for your health. You could tell she was serious because she was holding your hand, despite her aversion to physical touch
Her voice has always been very gentle, but it was noticeably softer now
If you're fine with your condition she'll let you be, but if you show any kind of unease she will want to get to the bottom of it
If you'd allow her, she will create a nightmare for you relating to illness as a way to help you through it. This was always the way she liked to process feelings and emotions
But if it gets bad and you just want a break from feeling like shit, Nightmare will actually use her power to make you feel better temporarily. When you wake up your throat will be sore again, but for now you can talk as much as you'd like
Will ask you many questions and listen intently to whatever you tell her. Tell her how you are feeling both emotionally and physically
Before you wake up she will always give you advice to take care of yourself. And don't feel like she'll forget, the moment you fall asleep she'll be there to make sure you didn't ignore her
Although still unused to initiating contact, she'll hesitantly hold you close, her snake head resting atop yours lovingly
When you start feeling better, she'll give a sigh of relief and smile warmly. With a fiendish chuckle, Nightmare will warn you that she won't hold back next dream to make up for lost time
River noticed pretty quickly that you were sick. Aside from all the regular signs, she noticed you'd been hacking up a LOT of phlegm into the drain recently
She isn't used to taking care of people, but tries her best for you!
Attempts to make soup for you. She's been taking cooking lessons with Stefan and feels this is a great time to test what she's learned
Makes sure Bathsheba treats you right. If she tries to complain at all about you being "gross", River won't hesitate to shut her down (she trusts Johnny enough to not worry)
She'll even ask Winnifred for help to keep the water nice and consistently warm for you
You may be bedridden, but River is just as mobile as ever. And she hears a lot
Sometimes she'll come into your room with shifty eyes, looking around so no one is listening. With a cheeky grin, River will share what's going on around the house. And that includes aaaaaall the tea and gossip~
If you have any requests, River will be more than happy to peruse the house for any details you'd like
With her as a girlfriend, you'll pretty much have a glass of water anytime you want. If you start to cough, she'll offer up some (yes she has started to carry a cup with her just in case)
Finds it comforting that she can help you out in so many ways by just being herself
Her ice can cool your aches, her water can soothe your throat, and her steam can help clear your sinuses
When you get better, she likes to joke about how she's the one that helped heal you (if you tease back and shower her with cheeky praise, River will become bashful REAL quick)
Ever since you were little, Teddy has always been there for you when you were sick! He was a pillar in your childhood after all
Before it was just as normal stuffed animal support, but now that you could really interact he wanted to take advantage of it
At the first sign of a sniffle, Teddy. Was. Ready.
He said goodnight to you like normal, but when you woke up, he surprised you with a bunch of your favorite things! It was kinda like waking up on Christmas day
Pulls a lot of his knowledge from your childhood. He remembers all the things that made you feel better as a kid, and made a mental note of it for future
When you show shock at the overwhelming display, his cheeks will start burning out of embarrassment. For a moment Teddy was afraid he went too far until you reassured him
He was just so excited to jump at the opportunity to be there for you not just as a friend but as a lover
If your parents made you a specific dish he'll do his best to recreate it! (He isn't a chef, but he can follow simple instructions!)
Makes a mean cup of tea, with a nice spoon full of honey! (He would honestly put way more since he adores the stuff, but he knows that wouldn't taste that good for you)
Jokes that since you are in your pjs all day it's kind of like a sleepover
Don't feel embarrassed at all if you get gross, you've thrown up on him enough times as a toddler
He knows it sounds weird, but being with you while your sick is nostalgic for him. Obviously he doesn't take joy in it, but it reminds him of the good ol' days
Already adores cuddling with you without the Dateviators on. But if you want to cuddle with them on? His heart is gonna explode from joy
Expect tons and tons of kisses, especially on your nose and forehead
Very very very warm, the perfect cure for when you get cold sweats!
When you need to sleep but are having troubles, he'll pull out a good bedtime story to read
Once you get better expect the biggest bear hug you can imagine!
You've always been really good with being on time for meetups (it took awhile to be up to Timothy's standard, but he's been appreciating your efforts!)
So when you showed up to him a minute late, he could kinda tell something was off
He was going to instinctually softly reprehend you for the lateness, but when he saw your miserable face that went out the window quite quick
Despite what you might think, Timothy is actually a really good caretaker! Sure he is strict, but still loving
Has a clear and concise schedule for efficient healing! Meals, medicine, showers, he has it all planned out for you
Spoon feeds you soup lovingly. Every time you want to tell him you can do it yourself, his cute face is just impossible to deny!
Yeah, hopefully you get Timothy as much as possible. It's not like Timmy doesn't want to help! ... I mean, kinda
Timmy is great for cuddling and resting together. Since you have to stay in bed, Timmy is satisfied with now having an excuse to sleep all day
But don't expect any bedside service or anything. Instead Timmy is gonna pout about you being lazy and not playing with him when he wants
You know how cats will paw at your face while you sleep? Expect that
Since he knows the average length of time it takes for someone to recover from your specific illness, he'll get annoyed if it takes longer than expected
Once you finally heal up Timothy feels like he can properly breathe again. The relief is instantaneous and he can finally go back to his normal level of uptightness
Likes to joke and say you stayed sick longer just to annoy him and throw him off
