Can confirm this as incredibly accurate, I genuinely think that acquaintances find it harder to connect with me because I don’t use personal social media. I think most people are used to being able to casually connect through insta, and then slowly message more, and it feels too formal/intimate to straight up text someone. Tbf I think social media gives people a nice ice breaker because you can comment on things etc, whereas texting always has to be pretty direct.
