Gearing up

Blake: After my days in the White Fang, and... the people there, romance has lost it's lustre for me.

Yang: *Awkward greeting* Wassup, dark and broody? *Immediately cringing at herself* Oh man... that was bad even for me! *Scurries away in blonde* Really reinforcing the blonde stereotype there...

I love how Blake is so worried about Yang and immediately asks her if she’s okay even though at that point she would have had no way of knowing what was happening at Beacon. And then she follows that up by telling Yang that Ruby was their leader and could take care of herself when Yang was worrying about her.

I love how Blake looked like she was about to start crying after Yang hung up because she was so worried and upset about not being with her partner.

Look at this poor girl who has no idea how much more her heart is going to break tonight.

I love that right after that, we get this wide shot where Blake miserably lowers her scroll while her shoulders are all drawn in, which is like, closed off body language.

(Weiss, what happened to what little skin tone you managed to gain by this volume? Your face is basically the same colour as your hair.)
