The Rise Of Kyoshi
Thanks so much once again to @ufojervil51 for another sapphic Avatar Legends commission request! I was so happy to draw Rangshi again đĽ°
Headcannon that Kyoshi freckes are really evident and abundant (instead of the usual few dots in her nose/cheekbones)
Especially because (fun fact) freckes tend to get "worse" the more sunlight someone is exposed to, and since Kyoshi had pretty much no shelter from the sun of Yokoya for years growing up, she ended up more freckeled then she would in normal circunstances (maybe like how Jesa is described)
So the back of her hands were basically covered of it, and once she was hit by lightining the scar tissue took of most of them which was one of the reasons Rangi was so devastated
Like i kinda headcannon that when she says "you keep ruining my favorite parts" in book two she was also reffering to this
And this kept happening to most of her scars afterwards as well
I like to think that there is a garden of Rangi with fire nation plants (and turtle ducks) on Kyoshi island and a garden of Kyoshi with earth kingdom (specifically Kyoshi island) plants on Sei'naka island.

(You actually just gave me an idea in inspiration for a whole ass fanfic [<would you mind if i use this idea??] But thats its own thing)
I'd like to headcannon that since the wather in both locations are so diferent, the amount of plants that can coesist in both places is probably a bit narrow. So they work for a long time to discover and see what/how to make this work
Even cuter if this is not something they really planed to do, but that it starded as a silly thing in the first two years working at the mansion, and just maked its way to their home life later, without any of them really thinking about it
I also like to headcannon that nether Kyoshi's or Rangi's favorite flower from there home not being able to survive the wather condition of the others home, so the other made said flower in clay (Kyoshi to Rangi) or a metal hair pin (Rangi to Kyoshi) as a gift
< Before that if it was Rangi's flower in said scenario, Kyoshi would have some dried fowers (something she cannonacly did in the books before) in her room and with her at all times, and if it was Kyoshi's, Rangi would make a mach hairpin of Kyoshi's favorite flower to used in her own hair (i also like that one popular headcannon od proposing with a hairpin, so maybe Rangi only uses hers while they are dating, and once they are married, [or as a proposal but i think i like it more as a randon gift] she gives Kyoshi a matching one or something)

Thinking about the avatar state repeatedly trying to activate to save Kyoshi from that invisible danger but her malnourished body being too weak to maintain it.
Thinking about the past lives trying to teach her at least a little bit of firebending through her dreams so that she can at least stay warm during cold nights.
Thinking about Kuruk thinking his successor is finally saved after she first meets his friends just for her to be scared of them.
Thinking about Kyoshi slipping into the spirit world in her dreams and finally feeling safe with Kuruk, Yangchen and Szeto because they hold her like her parents would and feed her (even though it doesn't help the hunger).
Thinking about Kyoshi forgetting all of those moments of comfort in the spirit world because to her they were just dreams and not actual people caring for her.

YES!! AND I CANT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THAT
I think that Kyoshi sleeps like she just died and Rangi is the lightest sleeper ever.
This is balanced by Kyoshi not being able to fall asleep unless she is completely exhausted and Rangi just being able to fall asleep at any time
Kyoshi can't start a new task until she finishes a previous one

im tall (not Kyoshi tall but still tall) and i can confirm that sitting cross legged (both in the lotus flower way and the "etiquete lady" way) its 100% more confortable and less akward in most situations
