So… you’re telling me that bullying directly resulted in the creation of the first ever serial killer? But I thought it was “just boys being boys”? Interesting. Ya see, when I was growing up, “boys being boys” meant roughhousing, or being dirty all the time, or having a lowbrow sense of humor. It’s turned into an excuse to let kids get away with bullying. THIS is the result of “boys being boys”.

Boys being boys was never an excuse. Its like people made this up just so they could be mad at that phrase. I have never hear or seen someone use that as a way to excuse bullying??

In my experience, growing up I was bullied relentlessly but I was always told to ignore it. When I told my parents, the teachers and principal always told them it was just “boys being boys”. So eventually my parents stopped listening. I won’t pretend my experience is universal, but I also won’t pretend it’s unheard of. I understand how you would feel that way though.
