The following is actually lore from Giantpandaking’s Gotham Follies universe as given from his interview by The Batfeed.
Justice League of America: 1936
The group is founded and lead by Wonder Woman in response to an action the Nazi’s committed.
She wanted to make a group similar to the gods of old.
The members were Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Green Arrow.
Batman was the older brother of the group, giving advice and support when need be.
Batman considered many of them untrained amateurs but likely grew to respect and care for them.
Bruce would retire from active field work in the group around 1939 due to his injuries from Bane.
The League initially remained national and tried to represent the best interests of Americans but as soon as to become more international to prevent another Great War from breaking out. This was wall in vain however as a second World War began.
During the Second World War(1939 and 1945) the league would split up into three teams to handle various issues.
Squad 1 lead by Green Arrow go to Japan and liberates P.O.Ws who were experimented on and gained freaky abilities such as the case for one Captain Atom.
Squad 2 may be the Suicide Squad and may have went to Germany.
Somewhere in 1944/45 an intergalactic war breaks out that required multiple heroes to travel into space to handle it. The war would be known as “The Crisis on Infinite Worlds” and it would end sometime around 1955/56.
