Meto Xalax is a fifteen year old togruta jedi padawan during the clone wars. He is fifteen years old in 19BBY. His master is Anzar Tahy.

During the clone wars, Anzar is not given leadership over a clone battalion. While he has no qualms in having a more peaceful role, his padawan is less than thrilled. Meto wants to be on the front lines like some of his peers, not because he seeks excitement (okay maybe partially for the excitement) but because he thinks they should be more involved with fighting the separatists instead of going to planets to do some boring negotiations. It’s not that Meto didn’t want to help find Force-sensitive children and secure peace deals, but that he feels as though he had the easy job while others were fighting a battle for him instead of him fighting alongside them in order to protect the galaxy. 

Anzar can understand where his padawan ahais coming from, he was once an eager teenager as well, but warns Meto of the reality of war; that it is not all he imagines it to be. Anzar is simply worried that Meto is not ready for the responsibilities of commanding an army. Anzar himself isn’t that interested in being a general in the army of the Republic. He however doesn’t see the situation as Meto does. It isn’t that clones and their jedi are fighting for them so they can continue doing the things they have always done, but that the work they do is equally important as the fighting and that it’s crucial that the search for Force-sensitive children isn’t halted in this conflict, for if these children are lost to the Order they may never get the opportunity to be trained in the ways of the Force when they have potential and become keepers of the light.
