I will never let you down

Fresh starts are a really good thing.. I think once the unknown part of it all passes, you’ll know you did the right thing.

It takes a while to realize a fresh start is a good thing.

Danny, you’re still leagues above rock bottom okay? You’re not a mess, you’re just doing what’s best to figure out your future. Hell, I’m proud of you. If you wanted a different environment for a while, just until you figure out what you actually want to do.. I could get you a job at The Lima Bean.

...Who knew my little brother would be the one giving me the pep talk. Aren’t I supposed to do that for you? I appreciate it, but I’m actually thinking of starting up my own bar. 

Temporary insanity, or just a long time coming? 

I’ve come to conclusion it’s a bit of both. Congrats, your brother is an unemployed mess.

I did it several months back. Listen, if you hated it then no doubts. Don’t look back. Move forward, and it’ll be the best decision you ever made. Were your coworkers dicks, or was it the management? 

It took me a few days and my mother crying about her ‘oldest baby’ being broke to move forward. A little bit of both, with asshole customers mixed in. 

Is this a heck yes moment or an oh no moment? I don’t know how to appropriately react right now.

It’s a mixture of both at the moment. 

“why would you puke? i thought you didn’t like it there?”

“Well... yeah. Hated it, wanted to leave. But you know, didn’t think I’d do it that way.”

“yikes - that might want to be something you figure out pretty soon.”

“I mean, if it’s a bad thing nothing I could really do about it. Not like I can get my job back... or do I want to.”

“well shit - was it something you had been wanting to do?”

“It’s been a secret, deep, deep, wish of mine for a few weeks. Didn’t really anticipate it happening so soon.”

“you, my good sir, are an icon.” 

“Am I? Because I think I might puke.”

“can’t tell if you’re considering this a good thing, or a bad thing. but we do love to see it.”

“I haven’t figured that one out yet. But once I do, I’ll let you know.”

“suit yourself, my dude.”

“I’m glad you have that much faith in my job abilities, tiny.”

“you should! that’s what you deserve!”

“I think I’d rather keep my job.”

Because they start with me and they think they can do whatever they want because I’m like… a twig with a big head, but then I call my boy, the big ass former football player who sits at the end of the bar literally every night and he rescues me. I recommend getting one of those.”

“I just can’t imagine you needing someone to throw them out. I can just see you grabbing them by the hair and dragging them out yourself.”

“Perks of working as a bartender, I’m guessing. Should just... open my own at this point.”
