A continuation to my previous 2024 set, finally š Somehow, they all ended up being wall shelves this time. This set contains 20 shelves stripped of any decor objects and given slots. They can be found in Living/Dining/Study and Displays/Misc Surfaces for various prices. Most have only one preset, but the ones with stencils have plain presets as well.
In the archive you can find a readme with the polycounts (highest is 512) and sources, because there were waaay too many links to include here, as well as previews showing off the recolorable channels and slots better.
ā¹ļø Depending on the footprint of the objects you place on slots (small, medium, large), adjacent slots may be disabled. In shorter/narrower parts, slots may only allow small or medium objects.
The Perfect Place shelf matches the smaller Ode to Distraction Desk.
The Wall Mount Towel Stackomatic shelf now has a second flat surface on it instead of the original towel bar.

With DXVK and S3SS living their high days, older Sims 3 installment guides are rapidly starting to become outdated. So here's a brand new and up-to-date step-by-step guide to go through when you do a fresh install of your game that will help you get the best performance you could possibly imagine for this old and laggy gem of a game.
Have Sims 3 installed, but is it performing abhorrently? I highly recommend a fresh install. You don't have to delete your saves or mods. Just get yourself a fresh bin to work with by uninstalling, going into your program files The Sims 3 folder and deleting any remnant files still in there. Then follow my guide!
All of the steps to follow are below the line ->
Step 1: install your game through your respected platform.
Just follow the regular steps and install the game without adding any other stuff yet whatsoever.
(I personally have a legit copy of the Sims 3 on Steam. If you use another app and have any questions, I'll probably not be able to help you.)
Step 2: run the game once through the official launcher. Once you get to the main menu, you can quit again.
It is very important you run your game through the original launcher at least once after installing it. Not doing so can cause problems with programs like CC magic. You only need to do it the first time. After that, we'll be skipping the launcher entirely.
Step 3: Create a short cut of TS3W.exe on your desktop.
You'll be skipping the launcher from now on. This helps with performance and it starts up your game much faster. It is also important to do this because of DXVK.
You can find TS3W.exe in your bin folder. For me (Steam version) it's in this location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
Right click TS3W.exe, click 'show more options' and choose 'create a shortcut'. Place this shortcut on your desktop and Run Sims 3 from there from now on.
Step 4: Run the GPU Add-on Support patcher
You can find this patcher here. It is essential to run this because Sims will otherwise not recognize your graphics card unless it's over 10 years old. This patcher helps to get your GPU recognized.
The patcher will create a new Graphicsrules.sgr and new Graphicscards.sgr for you in your bin folder. After installing this, you can move the ones that have _old behind them somewhere else (or delete them).
P.S.: if you pirate your game you'll have to do this manually, there's guides online for it but since I have a legit copy I can't help you here.
Step 5: Install DXVK
Make sure you follow this guide by Nornite and do every single step. Don't skip anything!
I'd say DXVK is pretty essential nowadays, especially if you have a modern graphics card with 6GB of VRAM or higher. It'll greatly help to keep your game stable and can prevent a lot of crashes. The way Dxvk works, is that it loads textures through your VRAM instead of your RAM. Especially when you use a lot of CC or HD textures, this will make a huge difference for your RAM usage. Sims 3 can only use 4GB of RAM at once and will start crashing once you hit the 3GB mark in your task manager. With DXVK, you will use a lot less RAM and it'll take much longer for your game to reach this hard cap.
When not to install DXVK: if you have a shitty GPU (like an integrated graphics card on a laptop, or one with 4GB of VRAM or less).
Step 5: Start up the game
Use your new desktop shortcut that also has 'run as administrator' permissions now if you followed the DXVK guide properly.
Step 6: set up all your settings through the ingame options menu
The best graphics settings for you will highly depend on what computer you're using. But there are some things you should always turn off because they negatively affect performance. I will share my (relevant) settings with you (I use a custom UI so your screen style will look a little different from mine). Click on the images to enlarge them so you can read them:
Things of note about these settings:
I recommend you play in windowed mode, especially if you plan to use ReShade. Playing fullscreen is possible, but it does make Reshade presets behave differently in your game. I will include a step in this guide that you can follow to play windowed borderless. So, when you plan to do this: make sure you set the resolution to your display resolution.
Enable object hiding helps with performance. Advanced rendering is essential because otherwise your game looks like absolute shit.
Set your High Detail Lots to any value between 2 and 4. Don't go lower or higher, because you'll get rendering issues that lag out your game.
All other graphics settings can be set to your heart's desire. I'd say start with the highest settings and only go down if you notice your frames per second are bad.
Disable shop mode and lessons and fully disable memories or use this mod to severly limit them. Disable interactive loading screens as well. These are all performance eaters. Interactive loading screen also causes crashes. Memories also don't do anything for your sim, it's just a scrap book with no in-game effects.
Disable any online mode feature. This also lags out your game. Unless you really want to use these features it's best to just play fully offline.
Save your settings, close the game again.
Step 7: Install Sims 3 Settings Setter
This is the most recent magic genie that Sims 3 was blessed with. Especially combined with DXVK it is a life changer. Installing it is simple. You download the most recent version here and drop the .asi file in your bin. Also grab 'wininet.dll' from here and drop that one in your bin too.
Start up your game and load up a save. Once you're inside your save, you press 'insert' to open up the menu for Sims 3 Settings Setter. Go to the 'patches' tab and enable what you like. These are my enabled patches and they all work really well for me, but feel free to experiment with them to find your own performance sweet spot:
Only enable uncompressed textures if you have a GPU with at least 8gb of VRAM. My game will use over 6gb of VRAM easily with this enabled, so you've been warned.
Once you have everything you desire enabled, press 'file' in the top left corner and click 'save settings'.
Step 7.5: if you're playing windowed mode: go into the Other/QoL tab and enable 'Borderless Window'. Set it to 'Full Screen'.
Save your settings and close your game again. No need to save the game you entered for this unless you want to.
Step 8: Install Nraas Errortrap, MasterController and Overwatch
These 3 mods by Nraas are pretty much essential to keep your game from breaking down in the long run. You can download the mods here. Have you never installed a mod for Sims 3 before? Here's a guide (skip the part about Sims3pack and go straight to the part where it explains how to install .package mods).
That's it! You can now play The Sims 3 and it'll be as smooth and stable as it'll ever be. From here on, you can stock your game with more mods and CC (check out my mods masterlist!), or you can install Reshade (here's a guide).
Some important things to keep in mind while playing:
Clean up your game regularly. You can easily do this by using Regul Save Cleaner.
When you install a new mod or update/change Sims 3 Settings Setter, always restart and clear your caches.
Use CC Magic for installing CC, because it merges your files and this really helps with performance. Here's a handy guide on how to use it. Don't put your script mods in here, just your CC.
If you plan to travel to vacation destinations in the EP World Adventures, Nraas Traveler is a must to prevent most of the bugs and crashes that happen in this expansion.
Always keep in mind: mods and corrupt CC can still break your game, make it laggy or unplayable. Always be mindful of the mods you add, so you can always trace any issues you're having back to the mod causing it. I highly recommend not downloading a ton of mods in one session, but adding them step by step and see what they do to your games performance.
Use 'Reset the entire town' from Nraas MasterController at least every other sim week. It'll help clear up any lag that happens because of NPC sims getting themselves stuck routing or annoying stuff like that.
Got a slow CAS? Use Nraas MasterController Compact mode! (Make sure you have the Nraas MasterController Integration module installed).
Navigate to NRaas > MasterController > Settings > CAS.
Set the following to True:
Show in Compact Form: Accessories
Show in Compact Form: Clothing
Show in Compact Form: Hats
"Tucked away in the stunning Alps, Felsdorf is a quaint mountain village located by the shimmering Erzsee. Surrounded by towering snow-covered peaks and lush forests, this idyllic village offers breathtaking views in every direction. Its traditional wooden chalets, cobblestone streets, and flower-lined balconies embody the charm of Alpine life. In winter, Felsdorf transforms into a ski paradise, while in summer, the Erzsee offers the perfect spot for fishing, swimming, and relaxing by the water. Whether youāre seeking adventure on the slopes or peace by the lake, Felsdorf combines natural beauty with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere."
With winter slowly approaching, I thought it would be a good time to release my newest world "Felsdorf". Inspired by my home area Tyrol, Austria, jump into a semi-realistic alpine mountain world with lots of things to discover! All Expansion-Packs are used and all Base-Game spawners are in the world.
Once again, thank you to all the amazing CC-creators out there, this world would have not been possible with your creation. Like my last world, there is a merged file included with CC I am allowed to include. The rest you have to download yourself, it's not much!
Also total gamechanger, s3 decorater tool by @omedapixel! I was able to give my houses a much more realistic touch with that, so if you want to try that too or correct something, go check it out!
IMPORTANT: Mega deleted my old account lol, so my old world and the new one are now together because the CC amount is the same.
-For my old world you need a save file. The new one is populated from the start (figured it out how to do that)
-For some reason, the CC doors at the Felsdorf gym needs to be placed again, so sims can enter it. Just grab it with the hand tool and plop it down again.
Like always, instructions are included and if you have a question or need help, feel free to ask!
This is not just a mod, but the key to a new level of the game. Free construction, full control over objects and unlimited scope for imagination. Start creating your perfect world today!
With it, you can build protected zones from changes (even outside the kingdom). It allows you to change the height of an object, tilt it, and quickly move it around the area.
āRemember, the more objects there are in the world, the longer the game takes to load. Use the mod wisely.

Thanks to dear @leebbi04 for this wonderful description and design!
Did you know that you can find and use any game texture for your TSRW project? This way you won't have any redundant textures inside your package. The resource key has to be in this format: key:00000000:00000000:0000000000000000
Here are some useful examples:
Black specular= key:00B2D882:00000000:F961EF123B01E579
Empty normal map= key:00b2d882:00000000:972952e0d3631f66
These are universal textures referenced in a ton of EA CAS items and are safe to use in your own projects. So please, don't import a new empty texture! It'll just be another resource the game has to load.
This will also work with textures from a CC package if you put it in your game files. Check out this tutorial for more info: Link
Of course creating an actual specular or normal map will almost always look better, but a majority of you will stick with empty ones regardless.. I've been guilty of using black speculars myself.

@toadifylackoffantasy brought to my attention an issue with the maternity morph normals of one item, which got me to test everything...and found āØissuesāØ. Therefore, this post is to let everyone know how and why everything was fixed. Also a huge thanks to her for showing me how to fix bonedeltas (that weird issue where sims' arms jut straight down and clip into their legs).
ā¹ļø These are fixes for the maternity morphs of the items below ā waist gaps, bad normals, bad bonedeltas. Fixed items have a "Fixed" appended to their filenames; replace old files with these new ones. SFS links remain the same, Mediafire and Mega ones were replaced. Items already submitted to MTS and Simblr have also been replaced with the fixed versions.
Apologies for the length of this post ā I figured including previews to show what I fixed would be more helpful than only describing the fixes. I didn't take previews for every item, but hopefully you can get the gist of it.

* does NOT replace the old version in-game. This is most likely due to me not having the original project files anymore and needing to generate new ones, so the instance IDs are also different now.
I liked these curtains from the India Inspirations Bedroom, but of course EA only made a 2-tile version, because why would anyone want more options š So I went ahead and made 3- and 5-tile versions, and edited the 2-tile version to match while I was at it. You don't need the original curtains.
Unlike my addons to the Forest Curtains, the 3x and 5x versions are actually made for 2- and 3-tile windows but extend slightly past that grid space to avoid clipping when using windows that occupy an entire tile.
All come in 3 presets, with 3 channels and 3 unrecolorable rod variants (gold, silver, black). They can't be shifted up and down the wall the normal way, but you can use omedapixel's Sims 3 Decorator Tools mod to do that.
ā ļø There may be some blurriness when recoloring, but the textures will look nice and crisp after exiting CASt.
This is an edit of one of the tops that comes with Island Paradise. I've never been a fan of the original (wearing lace directly over bare skin must be really itchy!) or its presets, so I made the following changes:
new undershirt, with the texture of the Buttoned-down Shirt;
fixed some bleeding around the collar;
gave some details (pocket, bow, collar, lapels) more definition;
fixed the UV mapping on the LOD1 GEOMs of the elder version, which had some really ugly shadows on the lapels;
made new presets, added separate channel for the buttons.
I've included several versions of this edit, in the same archive:
default replacement (adult-elder): requires IP, changes _XML, CASP and GEOM resources; will conflict with recategorizers;
basegame compatible (adult-elder): doesn't require IP or conflict with anything, the AF and EF packages are independent of each other so you can pick and choose. Polycount: 3.2k;
UV map fix only (elder only): default replacement, doesn't conflict with recategorizers or include any of the other changes.
Other details:
For Everyday, Formal, Career. Not enabled for random.
4 channels, 3 presets. The default version contains updated EA-style thumbnails, the non-default one has custom thumbnails.

This is a conversion of Notsooldmadcatlady's really beautiful ts4 medieval carriage. Thanks to @notsooldmadcatlady for making it and letting me convert! I did two versions of the carriage āĀ one as a working vehicle and the other as decor for storytelling.
Functional Vehicle
For the working vehicle, I added Kyrie's converted Dragonslave horses, which I used with edited textures by @danjaley for the School Wagon, and I added an edit of a bridle by Hexameter. Thanks again to these creators too.
The carriage is castable, but the horses are not, and neither the wheels or the horses are animated.

Decor Versions
The decor versions are in decor>sculpture for 4800 simoleons. There are two types ā one has an open door and the other has the door shut.
If you're looking for storytelling poses, Danjaley has made some great carriage poses for NAuditore's conversion of the Maryata Stagecoach and has also archived Kyrie's conversions of Dragonslave's horses, seen below.

I downloaded Jackās Oasis Landing as a suburb files but wanted a bit more homeworld functionality (work lots, parks, more residential areas, etc). I gave up on CAW near the end, so I recommend also using the Save, otherwise the world may feel incomplete.
A lot of the existing lots are great bases (like the future lounges) that you can change into whatever youād like - a store, a bakery, a live music venue, etc. Go wild!

"Ostbrück is a city full of history. Rich History. A total gorgeous lake, beautiful old buildings, some even leading back to medieval times. And let's not forget the mighty castle "Schloss Eisenhut" which is the citys' superstar. Ostbrück has been exisiting for a long time now and it's still shining bright to this day with many young and ambitious sims coming to this town to fullfill their lives. Oh yeah almost forgot! It's not the cheapest city!"
ITS HEREEE! After months of hard work I finally managed to create my own European world called "Ostbrück am Schwansee"! Dive into a beautiful, semi-realistic European world with dozens of historical buildings, a castle, a lake and lots of pedestrian areas. All built by me!
It's a small world with 53 lots, housing 62 Sims and features most of the rabbitholes + an university. I invested a lot of time in fixing issues, routing and so on so the world runs even with a lot of CC totally fantastic! Please please please tag me if you post screenshots when playing it! I would love to see!
How to install, populated save file and required CC is all included in the download. A huge thank you to all the amazing CC creators out here, without your creations this world wouldn't have been possible. Please make sure to check them out and support them. There is a creditlist and Links in the download!
I will keep all my creations for Sims 3 for obvious reasons for free, however creating worlds is a time consuming and sometimes harsh process with the buggyness of the game sometimes, so it would mean the world for me for some extra support :)!

Post-publishing bla-bla: I really tried to make this doll functional like Teddy Bear but sadly didn't figure out how to add the sitting state. Without it the doll just disappeared when it sat down. So after a cicle of searches for tutorials and suffering I decided to make this lady just a decor.

Hereāre 26 sheeps in differentĀ āposesā for you! They were created with @murfeeleeās TW3 Sheep as Decor (thank you <3) which you can download here. Theyāre semi-recolorable and theyāve all a lower poly version (like the original one). Thereāre some standing, grazing, walking, trotting, galloping, jumping and lying/sleeping sheeps. You can use OMSP to resize them to add some lambs or different sized sheeps. That brings a lot of variety into your sheep flock. =)
I rigged her sheep, so that I could pose it like I can do it for example with the sims dog.
Download all 26 meshes as .packages in this folder ā Link (SFS)
Below are pics of all sheeps.
Five standing sheeps with different head and leg angles.
Three different walking and three grazing sheeps.
Four sheeps in trotting pose and one other. This could be used as a sheep that wants to lie down or whatever.^^
Three galloping sheeps and three jumping ones.
And four sheeps which are lying or sleeping. The sheep on the right side can be posed in game so that it has its head on the back of an other sheep (see picture below).
1950s TV Channels (Default Replacement) by sheepyk
"Have you ever wanted to have a world set in the 1950s but the modern TV channels ruin the immersion? Well, no more! In December 2022 I started working on a personal project which was to create my own TV channels and put them in Sims 3, and it's finally done!
I've created all the videos in The Sims 2 to keep the spirit of the default channels, and also because it's much easier for me to create stories in Sims 2. All videos are based on real footage I watched from the era to make them as accurate as I could. Though even with custom content I was limited when it came to hairstyles and clothes. Hopefully it still looks great!
...continued + more pictures on MTS."
