I also agree with you that this play has been the most realistic one so far that wasn't historical (Henry IV). Not to say the opposite of what you said but I feel like that could be one of the reasons this wasn't one of my favorite plays. When I read I usually like magical, mythical, or some sort of fighting to add to the story line. That stuff holds my interest more than real life events. But you're right overall for the play not having any of that stuff it wasn't that bad of a read, I would read it again still.

I did not enjoy this play as much as I have the others. I still enjoyed the women pretending to be the clerk and lawyer. I actually didn't mind Caliben's character. i thought he was acting like another other slave would act. Even though he was rude and wanted to overthrow Prespero, I think he had a reason to due to the fact that this was his mother's island and belonged to him. Also I may just be weird but I liked his rude attitude it shook up the play a bit.
