Yes the play was good and I agree with you about Iago. He did put a lot of time and energy into Othello and Desdemona. All of the characters had there strengths and weaknesses, which makes for an all out great play with tons to enjoy. Yes the name was Othello but it definitely had many more characters that seemed to take more of the lead role than him. Good play and glad we ended off reading this one in particular.

I agree, I really loved Othello as well. There was nothing but a good story behind it. There was murder, love, sadness, and excitement. I enjoyed reading the entire play and truly did like Othellos character. A lot of people will say negative things about him, but sadly there are men out there that are just like him (minus the killing of course). Same with Iago, the people in the world that say so much about being honest are usually the ones that will hurt you the most. It was a great play, well written, and easy to read. 👍👍

Othello discussion
The play for me was much easies to read and follow than all of them. The characters were simple and not to much confusion with the plot and discussions. I of course am more of a fan of the twists and turns of the murders and story, especially including the love story between many couples. Othello went through a lot for his wife and as did she. Iago through was a good character to follow. As I read and hearing all the references to "honest Iago" I had a feeling that he wasn't going to play out that way. He ended up being the most untrustworthy and dishonest person thorough out the entire play. I managed to stay caught up in the story and was looking forward to how the play was going to end. I was surprised that Othello killed and tried to hurt so many especially Desdemona. I was pleased that Shakespeare made what seem this play easier to read and follow the plot and charterers. With adding more drama and people to me is much harder to keep track. However I did keep a timeline as I always do to make it easier to reference back in the end. I'd like to see he movie, has anyone seen it?

That is awesome that you were able to relate the actual place to the play. I didn't care to much for Henry but I did enjoy this play. It was very vivid and I too was picturing each scene as it progressed. I haven't actually been to London but what I read and what I've heard, seems like a gorgeous place to visit. Seems like a few classmates were appalled by some of this play, I enjoyed it and wondered your opinion? Did you find parts to be vulgar?
I didn’t like this play at all. It was very long and it didn’t hold my attention. It reminded me way to much of Henry IV which was the other play I didn’t like. Also I thought this was play was very confusing, there were too many characters with interlinking families and it was just hard to follow...
Yeah it was long and confusing at times. I mentioned that in my post but went through it and made a time line to understand it better. I did in the end enjoy it. I agree with the part when Richard saw the ghosts, it was awesome for him to go through that and see what he had done.
Richard III discussion
Out of all the plays so far I really enjoyed everything about this one. There is so much about every person that was needed to know in order to understand the plot. With all the family issues, love, deception, and the gruesome deaths I was interested throughout the entire play. I did however have to read back and forth in between acts to understand. The battles and how kids were subject to death I could have used without but it built to the play. Richard went through great lengths in order to get what he wants and the Shakespeare put the whole play together was amazing. In the end with all the ghosts in order of their deaths was cool to me and like many other scenes I was able to visualize it all. Great play that was suspenseful, crude, and gruesome that I really enjoyed :)

Great post and I agree with you a lot. The story itself was great, easy to read/follow, and you don't need anything special for it to be interesting. Just good ol fashioned writing that has a nice flow to it. This play went in a different direction for Shakespeare but was nice to see that there was a happy ending. Even though the women did trick their husbands, it was still a twisted tale with a positive ending.
