I’m no apiologist, or any scientist for that matter, but I imagine keeping your mouth open while being swarmed by insects is not a good idea. If you accidentally swallow one you could potentially choke, they could sting the inside of your mouth, etc. So no, this child did NOT survive a swarm of bees thanks to Dragon Ball. He suffered a lot more than potentially necessary thanks to Dragon Ball.
