Not a fully black background, but hope it's still sort of what you were after. It was interesting trying to put the black/greys together to get this effect (this is the result of me taking a colourful stock image and overlaying more and more shadow filters in different areas to get the tones I wanted). A handful of colourful spots still made it in, I thought about removing them but I kinda liked what it added.
