Last year, the cake didn't have yellow frosting or balloons. I didn't realize we always ended up with one with yellow frosting and balloons, but we always did and that became an important part of the birthday ritual. So this year I pre-ordered. Which means I could have her name put on! I really thought I was winning birthdays. We spent the morning at the cat Cafe. She's spending the afternoon with a friend, then home for charcuterie with 3 new cheeses she picked out.

But

Calamity.

I went outside to help Dawn garden and the cats threw the cake on the ground. It landed upside down. It still has yellow frosting! It's still a marbled cake! And I do think I can fix the majority of these problems? But still!
