A place where you can confess anything and everything Dandy’s World-related to none other than the users of Tumblr! Want to tell everyone that you do solo runs as Shrimpo? Sure, why not. You think the Veemote is a bad trinket? You can say that too! (Almost) anything goes on this blog!

There are, of course, a few rules though.

Must be Dandy’s World related in some way, shape, or form.

None of those gross kinds of confessions, please and thank you. No one wants to know that you want to get freaky with whatever character.

Don’t spam your confession in the inbox in hopes of getting it seen sooner. (Sending several different confessions doesn’t count.)

Please don’t attack anyone or spread hate through the confessions! Calling someone out for something or critiquing something that deserves it, however, is exempt from this rule.

Please dear god don’t send me your entire traumatic life story or grievances in a submission. I get it, you want to vent to someone, but maybe a blog for a fandom isn’t the best place to put that. Anyone could be behind the screen, for all you know I could be a 34 year old man. (This probably seems like a pretty wild rule but someone has in fact done this.)

If you are a new anon creating a new anon tag for yourself, please list in the first ask you submit under said anon tag that you’re a new anon so that the mods can add you to the list.

In Soviet Russia, the twisteds run away from you.

At least you actually go places. 99 Nights you just stay in the same (randomly generated but still boring) circle. And in Animal Hospital's case you just stay in the same NEVER CHANGING hospital. At least you feel like you're going somewhere in Dandy's world.

In Goob's case, he's being raised by Scraps, who was emancipated, since their parents were negligent drug-abusers (this is never actually going to be mentioned in any of the scripts but there needs to be a reason for why they don't live with them anymore). He was also in the foster care system for a short amount of time. He was about ten years old when he debuted.

In Waxwell's case, he was released into the custody of Brightney (they're half-siblings according to my headcanon just because) because his parents died. That's not the reason he's evil though, I don't want to do that trope, he's just evil for the fun of it and the fact that his parents are dead has nothing to do with it at all. He was eleven when he debuted (I wanted to make him a lot younger since I see him as a teenager but I have to hold onto a little bit of canon and make him old enough to be an adult by 2002 and people don't even have their full personality developed until they're nine)

Finn has nothing going on with him though, he's just a child of divorce.

I think it's good people are being hard on Qwel for her past actions and misdeeds, but she's out of the spotlight now. Let's leave her alone, and pray she only comes back after at least 6 months.

(If someone's going to say that 6 months isn't enough time to change, you're wrong, change can happen either really quickly or slow as hell, depends on the person.)

Like ok have ur boundaries ig but is it fr that serious? Just because the guy who hugs everyone hugged him? The mastery thing is just because of their opposing personalities i sincerely doubt they're gonna make waxwell and goob make out on screen LOL!

Like ur getting angry that ur noncanon ship that was never hinted at ever... isn't being hinted at. Goob has had plenty of positive interactions with other toons. Why is it only bad when waxwell has something incredibly miniscule with him??

Because yeah, the game is receiving new updates (toon of the week for example), but like all it does is shake things up a little, the gameplay is still the same: extract/distract, try not to die to twisteds and reach high floors. I think the only reason why I continued playing was bc I'm a completionist, which is why I tried not to miss all the updates.

I feel like unless the game receives a major overhaul in terms of gameplay, I might reconsider coming back. But there are so many other spelunking games that have so much more unique gameplay that I've had more fun with, so I guess this is where I stop with Dandy's World🤷‍♀️

I worry that we are hating her too much, and that the community is becoming a echo chamber of hate. I'm not saying she is innocent, no. She is flawed and did terrible things in the past. I think it is good she stepped away to get better as a person.

The victims of Rox wanted an apology, and I think they wanted her to step back and take accountability. She did both... I confess, that I forgive her. And so long as she doesn't jump back within a few weeks saying "I'm all better!" As if speed running character growth.

I hope that if she does come back, she will be better.

I definitely agree that Qwel hasn’t properly taken accountability for her actions in her responses, and that there’s a chance she’ll come back.

But unless she’s STUPID, she probably won’t come back, and/or will come back but will try to hide it.

I think maybe they mean it in regards to that she might still be profiting off the game in some way.

Which we don’t know anything about at the moment… so we’ll just have to assume she isn’t until there’s solid evidence that she is.

Rest assured though, if I find out that Qwel is profiting off the game still (like, a large chunk of the games profits, not just a teeny bit) and she still hasn’t made a proper apology to the victims, then I’ll go back to boycotting as usual.

Okay I’m the anon, coming back to this I have a few more thoughts I have to share

I think another thing that bothers me about this take on his character is that Glisten doesn’t read as a character that represses himself. He has insecurities, yes, but nothing that implies he wishes to be something different than what he is. Rather, he seems to be striving for something specific, being perfect (aka in this reading: being a man). He knows what he wants to be, but he struggles with his image (can be read as him having social dysphoria) resulting in him craving validation from the rest of the toons. I think if you’re reading him from a trans POV then him being transmasc makes much more sense as he feels more like a GNC trans guy who fears his femininity is coming at the cost of people’s view of him rather than a repressed trans girl.

not saying everyone with this HC is objectively wrong, but I will side eye people with it as it feels like they just saw the word “feminine” and “insecure” in the same sentence and just kinda slapped something together rather than actually reading his character as he was written in game

once again I am trans and this is just my take as a trans guy. I’ll respect other people’s takes tho they don’t really harm me
