basic desc of labels for the uninitiated:

levels:

5 — (aka 05) is the highest rank for very select people. people with complete access to information across the foundation

4 — the highest otherwise, would be task force commanders, site heads, etc etc. a lot of clearance, but still limited on certain information

3 — senior research staff, some in-depth information

2 — the most "standard" level for all researchers. only the information needed, nothing more or less

1 — just for people who need access to some areas like some janitorial staff for example

0 — non-essential personnel

class:

A — people deemed essential to the foundation. "get down mr president" vibe, they cannot get too close to the scp unless they really need to

B — also deemed essential, but their restrictions on coming into contact with entities is a bit lighter, so long as the entity is cleared beforehand

C — allowed direct contact with entities considered not hostile

D — used to come into contact with dangerous anomalies, not allowed to get close to class A or B personnel. typically criminals or convicts on death row

scp classes (just the common 3): these are not based on danger level, they're based on how difficult they are to contain

safe — easily contained or the anomaly is easily predicted, requiring not many resources

euclid — the broadest range, needs more resources to contain. most sentient scp are under this since its hard to predict a conscious being

keter — requires a lot of resources to contain with procedures being complex

The researcher group don't have particular big "lore" around them. Albert was the oldest there, having seen all of them eventually join the team over the years, and they all have a sort of friendship/found family due to having to deal with the same bullshit everyday together. (At least they're all relatively levelheaded enough to manage it all.)

Also, is Xen a nepo baby? Maybe, maybe not. Though, being an 05 at their age had to have some special interference.

also: report logs are very matter-of-fact, hence why they all refer to the scp as "it" and not "he". and audio logs only transcribe what is heard with visuals purely up to interpretation. i hope it's clear, but just in case, each SCP has more logs than the ones in this post obviously. the ones shown in this post aren't all "present day" and some might be from the past

Nimh — SCP - 0704 "Run Rabbit"

SCP-0704 is a young adult male with a condition that, when presented with stressful stimuli, he spontaneously transforms into a rabbit. He had been living on-site since he was a toddler, but only recently have we begun to conduct research on him due to prior concern of triggering the fear response unintentionally. As of now, he always has his heart rate monitored in hopes to predict whenever he approaches a transformation. He is very cooperative in his human form, though he tends to get lonely. Researchers are looking into allowing him to interact with other SCP.

Audio Log: Xen: "Alright, it's now recording. Hello SCP-0704, it's nice to meet you. I'm the new site head, and I've heard a few things about you." Nimh: "All good things I hope...? I'm not in trouble, am I?" Xen: "Well, time will tell, I suppose. I do notice your vitals all seem stable according to Dr. William, but your heart is quickening in this very moment." Nimh: "No, no, it's fine! I've been trying to use those, um, anxiety exercises he taught me." (A pause. Slight scratching of something being written in a notepad.) Xen: "And have those been... working?" (Another pause before there is an audible "poof". Sounds of thumping and thudding are heard as SCP-0704 runs around in a panic.) Xen: "Ah. I wonder if he can still understand me as a rabbit..." (The recording device is picked up.) Xen: "It's unclear if subject was stressed because I'm a stranger or because of my status. Hold off on introducing him to others until more information is gathered." (A pause.) Xen: "Sorry about that, Nimh. I'll tell someone to send you some dessert as compensation once you're back." End of Audio Log.

Nimh had been living on site since he was young due to his parents being unable to manage his condition. When the foundation first heard of him and came to visit, the parents forfeited him over with little push back. Nimh doesn't hate the foundation since it's almost all he's known and dietary/recreational desires typically were granted to him so long as they weren't detrimental to his health. He does try to be friendly with the researchers and personnel, but people get moved around and D-Class personnel are disposed of, so not many of them stick around for long. Most of his experiments are to find a way to predict or prevent his transformations which requires pushing him into triggering situations. He does have a heart condition, but his anomalous condition almost exaggerates everything he feels.

Volks — SCP - 0217 "Wolf in Wolf's Clothing"

Akin to a selkie from celtic folklore, SCP-0217 can take the form of a human when shedding a large fur coat. In his usual form, however, he is about five times the size of an average gray wolf. In either form, he is capable of communication; however, he seems to simply dislike anyone in general. He is prone to escaping on a few occasions and has taken the lives of multiple D-Class personnel. We have expanded his containment cell to fit an artificial forest in hopes it stimulates him enough to be satisfied enough to stay.

Report Log: During routine maintenance of SCP-0217's enclosure, Researcher Garret and his small team of D-Class personnel had spotted the SCP from a distance after it had hunted for its meal for the day. They attempted to keep a safe distance away, however, the SCP had eventually noticed their presence and attacked one of the D-Class personnel. Interestingly enough, the SCP seems to eat its meals in its human form. Nor does it actually have a taste for human flesh. End of Report Log.

Volks was found skulking around a small forest town, and his capture cost many lives due to his retaliation. Whether he's the only anomaly of his kind or not, he refuses to answer any questions unless absolutely needing to. He's quicker to trusting other SCP over any of the foundation members, but so long as no one gets too close to him while he's in his cell, he leaves everyone alone. Him cooperating with experiments is difficult due to that distrust, and the cameras in his enclosure are frequently destroyed due to him finding them. Some of the researchers try to cultivate a friendship with him to get him to ease into a more willing attitude, but it's been going slow. As of now, he doesn't seem to hate his head researcher, Garret.

Kelby — SCP - 0914 "Fried Rooster"

SCP-0914 is a harpy-like anomaly with the characteristics of a rooster. On most occasions, he behaves like an energetic jock, frequently having been put on record to attempt to befriend researchers and D-Class personnel. However, when he is too excitable, he combusts into flame. After a few days, he returns in peak condition as if nothing happened. (Ashes cannot be disturbed or else the SCP takes longer to regenerate.) In contrary to normal conventions, he is unable to rejuvenate his energy and health through sleep or food with the only option being to quite literally fire himself up. If he is not given any stimulation, he does begin to deteriorate physically, and if it lasts for too long, it may be possible he would not have the energy to reset himself at all.

Audio Log: William: "Hello, SCP-0914. I'm here to keep track of your vitals again." Kelby: "That's cool! It's been every day at this point, huh?" (SPC-0914 laughs then yawns.) William: "Yes, it has. I hope it hasn't been bothering you or anything." Kelby: "No, but I guess I am a little bored." William: "Sorry about that. We've decided to hold off on your usual recreation for the time being. Which does lead me to mention, your vitals seem to be decreasing at a constant rate." Kelby: "That's good, right? Being constant?" William: "It is since that means it's predictable. Thank you for your time, Kel— ...SCP-0914." Kelby: "No problem. Sorry, I don't know why I feel kinda tired right n—" End of Audio Log.

Kelby was a funny case because he was found by the foundation in the middle of him playing a basketball game in a public park. How he had made friends with everyone to the point of no one being surprised of his presence is still a mystery. In containment, he has a large selection of activities that cycle on a schedule in order for him to never be bored of any repetativeness. On some days, if he'd been doing well, they will let him decide what he wants to do. The main struggle is that when he combusts into flame, the personnel are required to wear fire resistant clothing which makes engaging in Kelby's choice of sport difficult at times.

Eli — SCP - 0108 "Pegataur"

Being much more playful and energetic compared to some of the other SCP on site, SCP-0108 is a centaur with the lower half being that of a pegasus. He has an unnatural speed which requires his cell to have a two door system to make sure he can not slip out in the chance of any personnel not shutting the door behind themself. When he does find himself able to breach containment, it comes off more like a prank than an actual threat to security. The real problem is when he tries and sometimes succeeds in entering other SCP's cells.

Audio Log: Dmitri: "Welcome back, SCP-0108. Did you have fun exploring the facility?" Eli: "'SPC-0108'? Ohh, you're recording. Guess we've gotta be formal." Dmitri: "I hope that is not an issue." Eli: "It's fine, but you're not my head researcher. Why'd they send you?" Dmitri: "Ah, just protocol. You know how many rules there are around here. After all, you have been caught once because you stopped to read a list of containment procedures." Eli: "That day was so annoying, too! But don't you think some of the rules and experiments are a little harsh?" Dmitri: "Is that why you tried letting another SCP free today, then?" Eli: "I'm not answering that on recording." Dmitri: "I see..." End of Audio Log.

Eli's only issue with being contained is how boring it is, hence why he breaches frequently whenever the chance arises. Any time he's actually able to fully escape the entire site, he always returns a few hours later with bags of items he couldn't have possibly purchased since he has no money. With his speed and frequent breaches, he has seen and even spoken to a few other SCP, being acquainted with every one he has had conversations with, even if they may have been brief. Eli is also friendly with the researchers, so long as their friendly to him, but he is aware that if they're there for business, he shouldn't act too friendly. Or say too much information.

Anon — SCP - 0609 "Cyberzoology"

Despite his appearance, SCP-0609 is essentially human in biology. The reason for it is that his lemur-like appendages are body enhancements that he claims he "improved", but he never fully states whether he created them or not. The limbs aren't the anomalous part about him, however. It is his ability to tamper with any electronic device so long as he can get his hands on it.

Report Log: Protocols in place for SCP-0609: 1. Passwords and security are to be updated every week; if the SCP has breached, they should be updated immediately after recontainment. 2. Any form of electronic is not allowed near the SCP. Since that includes cameras, the SCP is to be monitored 24/7 by two staff members at a time. 3. Routine maintenance is to be done to make sure his limbs are still working and to ensure there is nothing about them that could aid in a security breach. End of Report Log.

Anon loves to fuck around and find out. When they removed the cameras from his cell, he found where the wiring of them used to be and used that as well. He is arguably the biggest threat due to his ability to access foundation information as well as control facilities around the site. In the meantime, it is getting difficult for the site to keep him from being bored to death, and some of the most excitement he gets is seeing the other SCP breach containment. Not a good thing to be interested in. If he wanted, he could unlock every single cell, after all.

Ichiban — SCP - 0801 "Internet Personality"

SCP-0801 could be described to be like a "living AI". He is a mimic that observes others and morphs his being into fitting what he concludes would be the most "optimal" form. However, all of the information he had gathered before arriving at the foundation left him being an uncanny attempt at being an online streamer. For a while, the foundation tried to experiment by seeing how they could pull his mimicry into a different direction until at some point he stopped listening and would always return back to a more familiar state.

Report Log: It seems less as though SCP-0801's appearance is built on memory since many of its traits that it has adopted are from older, more outdated celebrities and it may very well be run purely on its own preferences when it comes to online entertainment. Many of its behaviors are very clearly tied back to certain content creators, and when shown more content from the influencer, the SCP creates a more solid recreation of them. When presented with one that the SCP is less interested in, however, it only takes whatever it considers the content creators "best traits" and ignores the rest. End of Report Log.

Ichiban is a mimic in very loose terms. He should just see "desirable" traits and takes them on himself in order to lure people in. However, he actually has his own consciousness which is even more anomalous. In fact, there was a slim chance he could've lived his life without having been noticed by the foundation at all. However, as much as he seems to enjoy being a gaming streamer, he is still a mimic and does kill and consume humans. The missing persons reports led to his location, and the foundation slowly narrowed it down to him before capturing him. At least he's still allowed to stream from his cell, if only because he had too large of a following to easily have him disappear from the public eye.

Myx — SCP - 1210 "Werechilla"

Having been part of two famous "bands" outside of containment, SCP-1210 was a difficult one to contain without the public noticing due to tours and public appearances. The SCP, like a werewolf, transforms between a human form and one of a chinchilla. By all accounts, he is the furthest thing from being a threat, with the only issue being his following of fans. He could have been deemed safe instead of euclid if it were not for the fact that the foundation uses funds and security to escort him to his tours and events before bringing him back to containment.

Report Log: As a result of SCP-1210's unique security circumstances, some MTF officers had to take the place of his former bodyguards which hadn't been much of an issue initially until there was a particularly rowdy crowd one afternoon, and the SCP kept insisting on sticking around longer to indulge his fans. However, it was pushing it, and the sun was threatening to set to the point the officers had to use physical force to get him to leave. Many fans began to question if the SCP was being mistreated by his record label, so those officers are required to now have specialized training just to properly manage the SCP.

The reason he's described to be in "bands" is due to the fact that in his human form he is very much in a normal band as well as doing solo music. However, his chinchilla form he is also in a band called "Myx and the Chinchillas" where he is the only one who can speak, sing, or attempt to use an instrument. His fans don't know the two bands are both him since in his human appearance, he uses a stage name. Why he has a stage name as a human and not a chinchilla is chalked up to his mild eccentricism. Due to his near-safe classification, he could have been a contender to join [redacted] except for the fact his public appearances take up much of his time.

Stirling — SCP - 1113 "Vampyre Wyrm"

SCP-1113 is, in the simplest terms, half wyrm and half vampire. His lower body is long and snake-like, with his arms having large wings clinging to the back of them. While he does simply look human from the waist up, he does have a sensitivity to the sun as well as being vampiric, feeding mostly on blood, animals, and humans. There have been a few D-Class personnel used as sacrifices in order to test that behavior. SCP-1113 himself is very relaxed most of the time, or perhaps confident, even with his cell heavily guarded. So long as he stays fed, there should be no immediate reason for him to go into a bloodlust.

Audio Log: Dmitri: "We've been noticing that you have not been eating as well lately. Is there a reason for that?" Stirling: "Are you worried?" Dmitri: "Well, it is only natural to be, yes? We would hate to have you be malnourished under our care." Stirling: "What a fascinating response. I suppose I can indulge, then. I've simply been getting tired of the repetitive meals. The taste has gotten stale, and I need some semblance of variety." Dmitri: "Is that all?" Stirling: "Was that answer unsatisfactory?" (A loud crash before alarms start blaring.) MTF Officer: "Researcher Dmitri, we need you to come with us. SCP-0929 has breached again." Dmitri: "SCP-1113, we will continue this conversation later." Stirling: "That dragon boy is so dramati—" End of Audio Log.

Stirling, being half wyrm aka a type of dragon, is aware of Scale's existence. Does he particularly care? Not really. He's pretty old and has more things to care about, like feeding on humans and indulging in his own personal hobbies. He's certainly not happy about being captured by the foundation and has breached once or twice, but he's more so biding his time until he's certain he can do it. And, you know, if he wants to feed on some of the researchers who've spent their time poking and prodding him, that's also a plus. Sorry, he can't ice skate as a half-snake.

Scale — SCP - 0929 "Treasure-Hunting Half-Dragon"

In containment, SCP-0929 is one of the most destructive whenever he escapes. As far as anyone can tell, he is incapable of human speech. Whether he can understand it, he seems too defiant to listen either way. The best way to control him at the moment is through valuables. His cell has a pile of shiny objects and treasures, some having actual value and others have sentimental value. (Many staff members have been robbed by SCP-0929.) He has also recently learned of the rankings across the foundation, so most interactions with him are reduced to being with only D-Class personnel.

Audio Log: Xen: "Minute twenty-six of waiting to be retrieved from SCP-0929's containment cell. It's taking longer than expected, so I am recording this to pass the time." (A soft jingling of coins and metals. Along with huffs coming from SCP-0929.) Xen: "Metal is also very uncomfortable to lie on. Not like having a mass of fire-breathing body heat makes it much more comfortable. No clue how he can sleep on this." (A pause.) Xen: "I wonder if I could just quit, and he'd leave me alone... Anywho, this marks minute thirty of waiting to be saved." Albert: (from a distance) "Xen, are you alright?" Xen: "I'm warm. I hate being warm." Albert: "It was difficult finding something that would be of more value than your ranking." Xen: "It's fine, I'm just complaining to complain at this point." Albert: "It's the MTF's job to take you to a secure location in the event of a breach." Xen: "Just get me out..." Albert: "Someone sounds hangry." Xen: "Maybe, maybe not." (The sound of the treasure hoard rustling around.) Xen: "Good morning, SCP-0929. Nice nap?" Albert: "We have something special for you. Would you like it?" (A grunt as Albert tosses it into the air, followed by the loud flapping of wings. Treasures jingle around as the sounds of Scale move further away.) Albert: "Are you recording this?" Xen: "Yeah, but I'm not gonna actually file this with the foundation. Bye, Scale." End of Audio Log.

Scale was finally captured after weeks of chasing him around the world with many cities and towns being destroyed as a result. Normally, he had only been reported breaking into buildings for his hoard or killing mass amounts of animals to feed himself, but the retaliation was only a result of him realizing people were trying to capture him in the first place. He's similar to Volks in being very against the experiments except he is much more dramatic about it (possibly because he isn't capable of communicating properly). His behaviors reflect his disconnect from humanity as well, with some personnel treating him like an inconvenient and defiant dog.

Cole — SCP - 1101 "The Living Shadow"

SCP-1101 more commonly has the appearance of a man, but his actual body is a shadow that can be as small as a square foot of space. He has the ability to change his own form by condensing his own matter, along with creating things with the same method. While his appearance is only an outward expression, his creations can only function so long as he can focus long enough to maintain them. Otherwise, he is relatively infinite in body matter.

Report Log: As part of a long experimentation plan, SCP-1101 was recently provided with a vintage radio with the task given to study it to see how intensive his replication abilities are. Initially, it presented a well-made creation, but functionality only lasted a few minutes until its stability degraded away. Otherwise, it will be given smaller, simpler items to recreate as mental practice in the meantime. End of Report Log.

Cole is one of the SCP that can breach easily and frequently. He gets attached to people, literally, through their shadows and was very easy to miss the first weeks of his containment. If not caught quickly, he can access restricted areas that would be much worse than just a containment breach. Though, speaking of attachment, he does also seem to like following Xen around (cop-out answer) and doesn't seem interested in foundation secrets and just clings to their shadow as they go about their day. When asked about what he knows from following them around, he seems cagey about it. When Xen is asked about his behavior, they say they just try to return him to his cell when they realize he's there.

Garret —

There had been a growing infection, starting out as a parasite living on trees until it evolved enough to be able to infect humans as well. Garret had been one of the infected, being controlled by the parasite to the point it grew appendages of tree bark. When he was relieved of the parasite, it left a permanent scar on his body, though from a distance it appears similar to a tattoo.

Audio Log: William: "Does it hurt?" Garret: "It used to hurt much more before. Now, Garret is able to manage a lot easier." William: "This marks how many years since then?" Garret: "Seven. It almost feels like yesterday!" William: "That's not bad for a wound like this. Especially considering these are the only scars you retained from that. Though, I only know as much as your file had mentioned." Garret: "Garret is strong. And parasite will not get anyone ever again." William: "That's the hope. Thank you for your time." End of Audio Log.

The best guess to the parasite's goal was to create a hivemind of living creatures, though it was ambitious starting with humans. Some people question if Garret's peculiar way of speaking is a result of the anomaly since every other victim to it had their own strange habits. However, their memories of before being infected are scrambled which makes it difficult to form an conclusion. At the very least, Garret had been recovering at a good pace and is now deemed completely healthy. He does seem uncomfortable when it comes to recordings or photos of his infected state.

Dmitri —

Dmitri is not human. Instead, he came from a coffee vending machine. The machine itself is still "part" of him, but his actual form is simply the condensation and personification of the contents of the machine. The machine itself has anomalous properties, being able to infinitely produce different coffee beverages along with each having varying effects. Said effects vary based on the content in the drink itself with most of the experiments being focused on discovering how different things affect the coffee's effect.

Report Log: Recently, there has been suggestions of getting some of the SCP to try the coffee, however, Dmitri is advocating to make sure there wouldn't be any possible side effects as a result of it due to their anomalous properties. Otherwise, the coffee has been a helpful use for increasing productivity around the site, and the foundation has been questioning if there is a possibility of getting it shipped to other locations as well. Dmitri is less against that. Now, the question is what the more effective way of going about it is.

Being nonhuman, Dmitri is one of the few researchers to not have been "cured" or rid of his anomaly despite living almost completely separately from it most days. Since he is made of pure coffee and his machine counterpart lives on-site, he is able to work nearly 24/7, mostly not doing so purely because he still enjoys having the freetime to himself. Ironically, he also isn't the biggest fan of his fellow researchers being workaholics, practically sensing when they've stayed later than usual or have been pushing themselves harder.

William —

A small group of individuals who had convinced themselves to be the horsemen of a new world era used ritualistic means to achieve that goal. As a result, they had used William as a vessel for that goal, resulting in a month long event with him and his acolytes in attempting to raze society. It is suspected they chose him due to his mild demeanor that held enough stability to support a demonic possession.

Audio Log: (Multiple people shushing each other before a door opens.) Multiple voices: "Surprise!/Happy birthday!" William: "Wow, you guys planned all of this for me?" Dimitri: "Of course we would." Garret: "We even got Xen to stop working for today!" Xen: "...I had to make sure the surprise wouldn't be upsetting in away way." William: "That is a lot of sentiment coming from you." Albert: "We hope you don't mind the small turnout. Everyone else had to continue working, of course, but we tried to make sure that at least the four of us could be here." William: "It's more than enough, really. Let's hope the party isn't interrupted by some breach." Xen: "Knock on wood." Dmitri: "And since we couldn't get you any candles, we instead made some fake ones for the cake." Garret: "They are reusable, too, for future birthday parties." Albert: "Hoping we aren't too busy to celebrate the next birthday, of course." End of Audio Log.

William was the unfortunate victim when it came to a small group of individuals who had convinced themselves to be the horsemen of a new world era, using ritualistic means to achieve that goal. Apart from news articles, footage, and the accounts of the group themselves, William has no memory of the situation at all and says it might be better that way. While he does somewhat panic when he's reminded of the original ritual (darkness, candles, etc), he mostly copes by wanting to help prevent more situations like that from happening.

Albert —

Albert himself is not the anomaly, he is only a physical body that the anomaly had attached itself to him in a sort of commensalism symbiosis. To be fully rid of the entity, Albert either would need to die or hope that it moves on and chooses a new vessel. The entity itself is a something on a near cosmic level with many foundation researchers and staff having stated that they had come into contact with it in various ways such as through dreams, hallucinations, or sleep paralysis. Most of the time, it is described to have the visage of an owl.

Audio Log: Dmitri: "Ah, Commander. To what do I owe this visit?" Albert: "Please, you can drop the formalities. It was just a slow day on site, so I thought to drop by for a chat." Dmitri: "I'd never say no to that, though I can sense that you're troubled by something." Albert: "That obvious?" (A pause.) Albert: "Dmitri, you're one of the few of us who isn't human, isn't that correct?" Dmitri: (laugh) "Last I checked, yes." Albert: "Does that... alienate you?" Dmitri: "Only as long as anyone else treats me to be different. But, my friend, I don’t suppose you’re asking this purely out of concern for me." Albert: "I wouldn’t— Don’t think I don’t care for you. I’ve just been concerned about Xen." Dmitri: "Ever the attentive parent. I cannot promise I can give insight into their feelings, but I can at least offer an ear to yours." End of Audio Log.

Albert had already been working at the foundation when he came into contact with the SCP. While his work had to be put on temporary hold for the research to take place, the foundation eventually concluded that as long as he was healthy, the anomaly wouldn't be affected, moving to use D-Class personnel since the SCP would never actually interact with Albert himself. Aside from that, Albert treats himself as if he were a normal person with the rare occasion that the foundation needs anything in particular from him to test. Though, at times, the information that supposedly only the entity would know, sometimes blends with Albert's own knowledge.

Xen —

In intervals based on their health and emotions, Dr. Xen is turned into a fragile, plush doll and is unable to do much until they find a way to feel better. It hinders work, so they have been taught and trained to stay relatively apathetic. Whenever they are pushed into a transformation, they need to be sent to a secure location, watched by someone to make sure they stay safe. Whatever injuries they gain in their plush form and maintain when they transform back will manifest itself on their human form.
