Dance in the Day

I never meant to fall in love. I guess these things just happen - you find yourself noticing little beautiful things the way they smile or walk laugh, sing, dance or the depths of their eyes and you realize slowly that their happiness and yours have become joined and you just want to spend your life making them smile.

The silences weren’t awkward. For me at least. Because I was there in the moment with him.

I love the way you speak. I love the way you think. I love the way you breath. I love the way you turn sad things into happy things. I love how you make me think. I love you. I love all of you, inside and out, for what you are and what you aren’t. I love everything about you. Everything that has to do with you. I’m completely infatuated and in love with you.

It’s so much easier to act like none of this matters and to pretend to wear a smile than to confess that my heart was nearly broken from someone who was never even mine.
