Let's welcome the new week!
My last post was terribly depressing, and I honestly don’t want that to be the vibe of this small blog/wanna be glow up hub. I think I was just frustrated and tired of being sad and in pain.
Last night, I felt better though, and there’s a specific thing that helped me. Something that always helps me.
I decided to start treating myself as the main character - like I’m in some show I like (current hyperfixation is Gilmore Girls btw). To be honest, not only treat myself like that, but also act, think, and speak like I’m the main character. Because, after all, I am the main character of my life, and I feel like there’s something so fun about embodying such a mindset.
I’d like to stick with it. It helps me get out of the misery FASTER.
Anyway, today marks the start of a new week. I’m feeling better - both physically and mentally. I’m finally able to move more comfortably, and gosh, that makes me so happy. My weekly goals? Eh, not so many. I’m still a little unsure of how things will progress with my sprain, and I’ve been a little tentative to make many plans.
I certainly want to do these things, though:
Reach 5k words. Btw, I’m really close to achieving my 100k words yearly goal FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!
Drink more water. I’ve been neglecting my hydration since I just injured. Today, I’m doing really well with it.
Keep up with my small positivity practice by writing down 5 positive things that happened each day.
Continue organizing the office/reading room - there have been so many books to declutter and organize, but omg, I DO MAKE PROGRESS.
A gentle reminder for the week ahead
It’s a new week, and that means there’s always the opportunity to make things right and fix whatever didn’t work last week.
It’s time to set new goals and work on them. To let go of thoughts that don’t really serve us.
Take the time to be gentle to yourself and rest if you need to. Self-care is important.
Allow yourself to feel without judgement. That’ll bring you closer to accepting who you really are.
Five affirmations to set the right tone for this week
I’m letting go of anxious thoughts and feelings about things I can’t control.
I embrace the new week with a positive mindset and confidence.
This week is filled with abundance and amazing opportunities.
I am worthy of good things in life.
I am ready to face the challenges that come my way this week.
What about you? What are your hopes and plans for this week? What are the good habits you’re sticking with?
