He doesn't see the abuse Angel faces as serious. "What did he do? Hit you?" Vox sees Angel not being ok with abuse as him just being weak. This is likely made worse by the fact he is bad at empathy and isn't scared of Val. Like Val will yell and throw thing at Vox so in Vox world that isn't that bad.

Worse this is the guy who thinks Val is very hot.

Vox actually wants to be toped but is to scared to ask and instead is geting mad at Angel about it.

Vox is probably thinking something problematic like. "He's litterly gay why wouldn't he want to fuck the hottest guy here."

Angel is incredibly famous and successful in away that looks effortless. The irony is that Angel seems to be not profiting on his own fame but thats doesn't matter to Vox the atention whore. Vox wants to be loved universally so bad amd Angel has that. Angel is "loved" and desired by all of hell.

In Vox's head he worked very hard for his fame especially in hell where he couldn't kill his way ro the top. He "earned it". Angel just showed up in hell with a "body made to be exploited". To Vox, Angel didn't "earn it" he just had to pay the low low price of being abused constantly. And agin he also lives with Val in Vox's brain it's. "Well Val yells at me to."

Val as his partner is a extention of him. Vox's resources go towards promoting Angels work, giveing Val what ever he needs for Angel's films, giveing Angel the place he lived in Vee tower. In Vox's mind he sees Angel obviously disliking and disrespecting him and still "gaining" from Vox's resources. Don't mind the fact Angel never asked for anything from Vox.

You can figure out his while deal just by looking at him. I'm gona break it down.

Sex apeal)

How do I say this with out insulting his Simps. Angle isnt traditionally attractive. If you find Angel hot your either a monster fucker or a furry or both (I say with love.). Despite this his appearance communicates hyper sexuality with out makeing him the eye candy for the audience which is a very hard balance to strike.

They do this though convention sex symbols used unconventionally. The most obvious is the chest fluff. Obviously the shape alludes to thd idea off boobs but there not boobs. Still the imagry of them with his cleavage showing is sujestive.

The shape language)

Angle is mostly a tall square. This likely symbolizes the stagnation that has happend in his life while also symbolizing his stubbornness when it comes to is morals and defending his friends. This is the main diffrents between him and Val's design. Val is all triangles showing him with the agency and instability.

Despite this all of angles edges are curved. It creates this idea of obvous softness to him even before we really see him act on it.

Gold teeth and diss colored eye)

These are our first signs that he is being abused befor we get to see it. Most long time fans completly correctly guessed the nature of there relationship from design alone. Especially there matching gold teeth says everything.

Pastle Pink) Its his unique color and it seems almost out of place in hell. It does show this resistant kindness still existing in him. We actually see him embrace this color more in season 2. Also Val always puts him in the Hot pink that matches him.

I am a raccoon biologist and one of the few people in the state allowed to take in captive bred raccoons that had been possessed illegally. The raccoon in the photos is Moonshine, but she is currently at the animal sanctuary where I work as I had been quarantining multiple new intakes from an abuse case. I still have two males (Rum Tum Tugger and Electra) left in my home enclosure as we are getting them neutered and then hopefully sending them to an AZA accredited zoo.

We get explicity that Vox has been waiting to back hand slap Angel himself meaning that Val must have explicity been stopping him. Of corse not out of possession not protection.

Still the effect to Vox is the same. Angel makes it look like he has less than 100% authority because he does.

Vox also just can't stand known Angel doesn't like or repect him. If Angel at least repected him he could tolerate that.
