@taylorswift has ALWAYS been fighting For The Kids, and she was a reason why I joined THON. I’m excited to share that I will be a dancer at the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) this year, dancing in a no sitting, no sleeping marathon for 46 hours at the Bryce Jordan Center (which Taylor performed at years ago!!!) in efforts to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer. I will also dance for Andrea, and anyone else with loved ones fighting their battles. We THON in 16 days. 🎗❤️

Update: I did it, I danced for 46 with 706 other people, and Penn State raised over $11.6 MILLION towards the fight against childhood cancer. I’ve been so sick since THON ended but it’s worth the experience ❤️🎗 @taylorswift

Taylor, you know that, as your fans, we have the upmost respect and love for you. We are happily your defense squad, and we learn so much from you on a daily basis. You hear things like “I love you,” “I love your music,” “you’re so talented,” “you’ve changed my life,” so often, and I won’t deny that I’ve said that to you too, but what I want to tell you—and put into writing—is that you’re doing absolutely amazing. And that’s an understatement. I don’t know how you handle it all. You take on challenges that seem impossible, and you deal with the obstacles in your professional and personal life. You take on bad press with such grace, knowing that being under the spotlight, you’re always facing “criticism” or negativity. Yet, at the end of the day, you are still the badass who changed the music industry, taught many young people about the importance of voting, and (I’m a business student, so I’m throwing this one in—) you run your brand and business so successfully. You’ve been exposed to so much more—the good, the bad, and the ugly—than we, as fans, can ever imagine, but you are, in fact, The Man. I just wanted to tell you that you are so appreciated and loved.
