"You want me to do what?" Damian asked. 

"Get under the bed, hurry!" Stephanie said, pushing him down by the shoulders. Not as effective now that he was almost a foot taller than her. 

"Brown, your roommate has x-ray vision and super hearing," Damian mumbled, dropping to his stomach and attempting to slide underneath the bed frame. 

"She tries not to use them unless its an emergency." Stephanie attempted to wildly straighten the sheets and pillows before sitting down just as her bedroom door opened. 

"Steph! You’ll never guess what happened at work today!" Kara said cheerfully. Then she froze, sniffed the air, and frowned. "Is someone in here? I smell… boy," she said, wrinkling her nose a little.

Stephanie sighed and said, “Damian, you can come out.”

Kara’s eyes widened and Steph got up to push her out of the room. “No way, you two are-“

"No! It’s not what it looks like!"

Staring into each others eyes

"And what are you looking so intensely at, Damian?" asked a teasing voice as the phone in his hand was snatched away before he could even think. He stood up, darting forward to try to grab it back, but Stephanie danced out of reach, making him chase her around the room. 

"Is this … a picture of me? And another? Oh here’s that one we took from the other night…" she said, dodging him and flipping through his pictures. 

"Brown, give that back! I was just deleting all your pictures because they take up valuable space!" 

"Hah, yeah right, Boy Wonder!"

"I … am not a boy," Damian said, finally managing to be quicker than her, grabbing her wrist. 

He didn’t mean to pull her so close in his attempt to wrangle the phone out of her hand but now she was staring right up at him as the little device clattered to the ground. 

"Way to go, Brown…" he said, falling quiet as he looked down at her.

In none of the pictures of her was she looking up at him quite like she was now. Like she hadn’t noticed the way he now towered over her. If he was the taller one now, why did he suddenly feel so nervous?

"You are right about one thing…" said Steph, still staring at him. 

He tilted his head slightly in curiosity. 

Learning what the other person likes sexually

He was a quick learner. Way too quick. But she had known this about him for over ten years now so she really shouldn’t be so surprised at what she was getting herself into. 

It was only their second time together but Damian already had found that spot on her neck that made her moan when he sucked there. 

But he was still learning. Steph could tell by the way he would look at her, watching her reaction to every touch. 

His fingers ghosted down her side, making her gasp, then laugh. 

"What?" he asked, frowning. 

"Tickles," she giggled. 

"Sorry," he said quickly, pulling his hand away from her hip. 

She grabbed it and placed it back on her skin. “Dami, its supposed to be fun. Stop taking it so seriously,” she told him.

Tim gets married, Steph gets nostalgic, Dami notices, offers to dance with her to distract her, Steph is all like “What the hell?”, but they dance, Dami starts to bitch about her waltzing but realizes she is super close and….then he gets distracted…;)  

Stephanie watched fondly from the doorway of the nursery as Damian paced across the room, holding their ten month old to his chest. The baby had finally stopped crying but he was reluctant to put him down just yet. 

Despite how worried the twenty five year old had been about being a parent, Damian seemed to really take to fatherhood. Of course, whenever he put his mind to something, he tended to master it. Although these days it was with more humility. 

"I think we should have another," Stephanie finally whispered. 

Damian looked up at her, eyes wide. “Another?” he mouthed. Slowly, he put the sleeping child back in the crib and tiptoed over to his wife. “Are you crazy? I’m barely getting the hang of one!”

"Al is going to need a sibling to play with," she said. "And I’m getting old you know. We need to get them all out before I’m forty." 

"You’re only just thirty five," he pointed out as they padded back to their room. "How many more do you want?"

"I could hear you a mile away, Brown."

"I wasn’t trying to sneak up on you," said Stephanie, sitting on the edge of the rooftop next to the teen. 

"Father is going to send me back to the League this time," Damian said, shoulders slumped in defeat.

"No he’s not," Stephanie assured him. "He was mad and said things. Just like you were mad and said things. That’s what people do. Every teenager fights with their parents."

"I disappointed him again."

"Again, something every teenager does," Stephanie said. "That doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you, Damian."

"I-I-I’ve been trying so hard…" he said, rubbing his eyes. 

first kiss

He held onto her hand a little longer than necessary after helping her up from the sparring mat. And then he was looking down at her (she hated that he was finally taller now), moving closer. 

"Stephanie, just … shh…"

She frowned slightly at the command but before she could retort, he had pressed his mouth to hers. For half a second, she wondered where he had picked up that. Then her brain caught up and she pushed him back gently.

"Steph, please… I can give you anything…" he begged.
