Logo design I created for Indie in Town! Indie in Town is an event that is regularly hosted at the Sugarfactory in Amsterdam. Indie in Town offers a stage for just starting artists and offer them a spotlight. It’s a place where musicians and artist come together to create something wonderful. So for their event they asked me to create their logo and design the merchandise. 

Just designed my first LP cover ever! This was a lifetime goal of mine, I designed this for the Teletubers, a psychpop band from Amsterdam :) Check out their music!

As a way of holding his authority over Lilith, Adam insisted that she’d lie beneath him during the intercourse. She refused his offer and refused to speak the name of god, she flew off into air. Some even believe that she was the serpent who seduced eve, to take a bite of the forbidden fruit. I thought it would be kind of ironic to image her on top of Adam, whilst she’s eating him.

I wanted to put Lilith, in a more modern context. I was inspired by the photograph of Kim Kardashian for Paper Magazine. Her bum represents the forbidden fruit, the apple. 

First I made a line drawing in my sketchbook, and digitalised the print in illustrator, then later I made some silkscreen prints. I still have a few for sale, you can buy the Birth of Lilith also @enfant_terrible at the Hoogstraat in Rotterdam.

Series of illustrations I created, called ‘Kissing Politicians.’ I made these so that I could put a mirror in front of all these politicians. That despite of their differences, they actually have a lot of similarities. 

The second illustration is about indoor agriculture. In the future there will be no land used to grow your vegetables. Also in these cabins everything is being automated. So we don’t have to water our vegetables, but everything is digitalised and automatised. 

I created this small miniseries called ‘Heartbreak.’ It’s about the loss of a loved one, the way we cope with the situation. From the beginning of the relationship, where it’s all fun and games and you’re totally in love, till the moment you can’t deal with each other anymore. 

Animation has always been a big interest of mine. Fortunately I’m cursed with the fact that I’m terribly impatient and not technical at all. I’ve ‘experimented’ several times with animation before, but it was not very good. The funny thing was, I was busy with this illustration and made an Instagram story of my progress. I made a boomerang video, where I changed the hue/saturation of my print. The colours suddenly ran into each other very nicely, and I thought to myself: ‘This would be a great gif animation.’ So I thought even though I suck in animating, I will just give it a shot again. It actually took me like an hour I believe, but I made it work. It’s small and it’s not that much, but I wonder where these small experiments will get me. So far I got this and I hope you like it!
