“I hope you don’t actually mean kill him,” Lottie said, raising her eyebrows at the other. “I don’t want to do that because then it’ll mean he knows it’s gotten to me and I don’t want him to think that I’m thinking about him. Because I’m not. I’ve moved on.” And she had, but the painful memories were still there in her mind and would never go away. “I want to do something. I just don’t know what.”

“Just because you’ve moved on doesn’t mean he hurt you. Plus, he’ll never know it was us.”

“Those are beautiful earrings!” Jasmine complimented the other, looking to the other. “Where did you get them from?” 

“Oh, you flatter me,” Kota said with a flip of her hand to show she did appreciate it. “I made them actually.”

“Elle Woods is a total badass,” she agreed with a nod of her head. “If we still need another movie to fill up the night we can watch the second one, but I don’t remember it as well to be honest.”

“The sequel is never as good as the first anyway,” Dakota replied. “I honestly don’t ever remember there being a second one.”

“Those all sound great,” Winnie nodded, already putting a kernel of popcorn in her mouth. “I was thinking we could throw in something like Legally Blonde as well maybe? I always feel better after that movie.”

“Yes! I love Legally Blonde!” Dakota said, happily. “There’s something about a woman achieving success over arrogant men that gets me so happy.”

“Are there people who don’t?” Marzia gasped in response, looking genuinely shocked. “I mean, I’m pretty sure the commercial kind doesn’t have the potential to give you salmonella, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to sell it,” she added, unable to help but point that out.

“No I mean cookie dough just in general, not the ice cream. Plus it’s like 1 in 20,000 eggs are potentially contaminated with salmonella, and every year it decreases, so like it’s not that common to get salmonella from raw cookie dough.”

“They’re so good. I’d love if they came out with different types of pizza pringles and have a bigger selection. That would be amazing. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without chips, they’re the best filler food.” 

“Different types of pizza pringles? Like veggie pizza and sardine pizza, or some shit?” Dakota asked. “Because the pizza pringles barely taste like pizza now so I don’t know how they’d manage that.”

“Super valid. I don’t really feel like crying quite yet either, so it works for me,” she admitted with a laugh. “We can avoid the sad ones overall today. Just go from a rom-com to an action movie or something.”

“What one were you thinking about. We could always go with the classic, Love, Simon, or we can do something new maybe, like The Half of It? Or maybe The Map of Tiny Perfect Things?”

“Tell me about it. I was starting to think I’d be working on this for the rest of my life,” she exaggerated dramatically, shutting away her laptop. “Oh I mean, there’s hardly any flavor that will ever come close to how superior chocolate chip cookie dough is. So hells yes we’re going to have some of that.”

“Finally someone who shares my love for chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. My mom thinks it’s so disgusting. I love chocolate chip cookie dough alone too. Salmonella? Who the heck cares!”

“I’ve always got the goods, you’re absolutely right,” Lottie said, quirking a brow. “Well, remember all that shit I told you about my ex and my now ex-best friend? They fucking broke up. All that shit I got put through and their relationship didn’t even last. It’s pathetic.”

“Yeah, of course I do,” Dakota replied. She gasped when Lottie told her what happened. “Do you want me to kill them for you,” she said, though it was a total joke. “Seriously though, I’m not saying kill them, but we can always prank them or something. I’m always down for a good prank.”

Charlotte reached over and grabbed the bag of doritos from the table, opening it and grabbing out out by the corner. “I love that flavor. I think my second favorite is salt and vinegar. People always talk smack about it but it’s so underappreciated!” 

“Salt and Vinegar really is super under-appreciated,” Dakota agreed, nodding along. “You know what I really like? Those pizza flavored pringles.”

“Very debatable,” Charlotte said with a laugh, although she would have to admit that she prefered snacks with something rather than eating them by itself. “This is a heaven,” She responded after seeing all the snacks on the table. “I’m thinking about starting with the doritos first…” 

“Go for it , girl,” Dakota replied. “As for me, I am definitely starting with the sour cream and onion chips. These things are like heaven.”

“Do we have enough snacks for it?” Charlotte asked with concern as she looked to the room, “I honestly think we’re slacking a tad on snacks.” 

“Oh honey, I am the snack queen. Watch out princess, you’re in my territory now,” Dakota said with a smirk, opening her bag and dumping out all the snacks she brought. “Take your pick.”

“Oh come on, you don’t need to look at me like that.” Julian told the other, looking to the student who looked like a deer caught in the headlights. “I work here but technically I’m not a teacher, just a guy who assists, so like I’m cool-… Though might have just lost a cool points by saying that out loud. But seriously, you’re not going to get into trouble.”

Dakota raised her eyebrows as the other continued to ramble on. “Yeah, I think you have to earn the cool title by someone else calling you cool, not yourself calling yourself cool... you cool? You know what I mean. It’s like calling yourself nice, or something. You may think you’re nice, but you need someone to call you nice that makes you nice.”

“The assignment has officially been submitted!” Marzia announced, swinging back in her chair rather dangerously. “Let’s do something to celebrate like eat our weight in ice cream or jump into the lake that’s probably still freezing cold right now. On second thought let’s not do the latter idea. But I’m open to any suggestions really. I can stress about the other one I gotta do tomorrow.”

Dakota cheered, “Finally!” she said, dramatically, even though she had just done basically the same five minutes before when she submitted hers. “I agree with ice cream, as long as the ice cream is chocolate chip cookie dough.”

“I am so glad you did because so am I,” Winnie admitted, taking one of the bags and heading over to the microwave. “So what movie should we start the night off with?”

“How about a rom-com?” Dakota suggested. “I definitely don’t want to start with a sad one. When I cry I get a headache and then I just want to go to bed, so I’d rather end with a sad one if we choose that route.”

“They’re in that pink box to the side,” She spoke, pointing to where the box belonged. “I think I do, actually!” Charlotte exclaimed as she stood up to help Dakota find it. “It should be around here somewhere… aha!” Charlotte pulled it out from the box, “You’re right! They’re almost identical.” 

Dakota clapped in excitement, “Yes! You’re going to love this movie! It’s so fucking funny.”
