“I’ll be here if it ever does.” He believed her and gave a nod. “I know, I appreciate that.” She didn’t have to say it, but the vocal reminder was nice to hear. He shyly bowed his head when she poked him. “Pfft, I’m not! Don’t worry, you didn’t because I’m not.”

“I know.” If there was one thing Daisy was acutely aware of it was that she had wonderful friends who would be there for her. “You’re a terrible liar with an adorable blush. I’m shorter than you, silly. You can’t hide it. Oh, is it because I kissed you? Should I not have done that? I didn’t mean anything more by it.”

“You don’t have to thank me.” His face slightly turned pink as he was caught off guard. “It’s what friends are for. You know I’m here if you ever need to talk about it, too.”

“I don’t need to talk about anything now, but I’ll let you know if that changes. It goes both ways too. I’m here if you need to talk. It wouldn’t be a great friendship if I was the only one talking.” Daisy noted the slight tint to his cheeks and reached up to lightly poke his cheek with a smile. “What has you blushing? Did I say something wrong? I do that too often.”

“Of course.” His brows furrowed, wondering if he did something to make her doubt it. “It’s also my job to tell you that I believe in you.”

“Thank you,” Daisy said, standing on tiptoe to press a kiss to his cheek, “You’re a good friend.”

“I know, just remember to help yourself, too. It’s only right that you be equally as kind to yourself.”

“I’ll do my best, but isn’t that partly your job as my friend?”

“Then you should crack open that bottle and pour some drinks.”

“That is the only thing that’s pushing me towards it right now, but I need to get rid of my nerves first.” Amelia commented. “I’ve never had to actually sing in front of people.” 

“The only way to get over that is to do it. Just sing with me. No one will care. You have a beautiful voice.” Daisy did have an advantage. She grew up in a musical family. It was normal for her to sing on a whim. She cared very little what everyone else thought of her.

“I think everyone sort of does that…it’s a hard habit to break. You have to make more time for youself, then. It’s healthy and okay to put yourself first.”

“I know. I’m trying. I just can’t resist helping people regardless of the situation. I don’t think that will ever change.”

“But it’s the Frog Choir, I’m sure joining it is still considered beyond embarrassing.” 

“You get over it pretty quickly, and you’ll have me with you. It’ll be fun singing together.”
