Every time i buy a new skincare product i always try to get a few samples before i pay for something i may use only a handful of times; that being said i have been known to buy a product just off the hype and regretted it after.

It’s so important to do a little research before buying anything skincare related (even more so when it’s a high priced product) because it may not suit your skin & it’s money down the drain.

 Magic Cream 50ml - Hydrating moisturiser with hyaluronic acid

This is a very thick and creamy moisturiser that really feels like it sinks into the skin and really nourishes it; one if it’s ingredients is hyaluronic acid that puts moisture back into the skin. I’ve used it every morning for the last few weeks and i have to be honest it did take my skin about 10-14 days to get used to the thick consistency; it did seem to clog my pores at first and i did have quite a bad breakout from it.

Having said that i did keep using it to see if it might just have been a coincidence; my skin did settle down and I actually find myself reaching for this most mornings now, especially as it’s getting colder and i want to keep my skin protected.

It gives you such a radiant complexion and as someone who has an oily t-zone i was worried I’d look more greasy than glowy, but it is definitely a glow i get, lol.

The cream is also a great consistency to mix with your foundation or cc cream if you want a more sheer base for your makeup.

 At £70 for 50ml, let’s be honest it’s not the cheapest but it could be worth the investment if you want something in a similar league to La Prairie or La Mer.

  Magic Eye Rescue 15ml  

This eye cream has been an absolute game changer for me; I’ve always had quite dry under eyes and struggled so much with creasing makeup due to them being so dry. This cream has been the only one that not only fights wrinkles and darkness but is the perfect base for concealer and corrector.  

 I’ve noticed such a dramatic improvement in my under eye circles within such a short time (usually it takes 8 weeks to see improvement), and on a morning after I’ve put a good layer on before bed i can see my under eyes are so much brighter and they look hydrated and smooth.  

 I could talk forever about how much this product has worked for my skin; it’s one I’ll definitely be purchasing again.

The 15ml will last ages as well, you literally need the smallest amout and just a few light taps around the orbital bone, up to the temples and you’re done. 

I do also like to use it as an under eye mask once a week; just a couple of thin layers before you get into bed and your skin looks so radiant the next morning. I also do this with the magic night cream; you wake up with the healthiest glow.

I love a good slogan tee & I’m now partial to a pair of statement earrings; if you read my last blog “My Favourite Transitional Essentials” you’ll have seen me talk about these Soru Jewellery rainbow earrings. I’ve also seen a few statement earrings from  Cult Gaia   that i think are a must this season (I’ve popped them on my stories highlights).

This outfit was for a city evening reception, so I didn’t want something formal but I didn’t want to look too casual.

Everything I’m wearing here can work into my Autumn wardrobe whether i put black tights and a chunky knit with the skirt or jeans and a jacket with the t-shirt i know I’ll have all these pieces in my wardrobe for many seasons to come.

 The sock boot is back this season, after seeing Balenciaga do the amazing  Knife boot  last year i knew i needed a pair; as ever though I can’t justify spending designer prices on heeled shoes I’ll only wear a handful of times. I’m wearing last years version from Topshop but I’ve linked some other affordable versions below.

Hi guys, 

I've been needing to blog about my new beauty buys for weeks now but have only just had time to finish editing my blog; sorry it's taken so long. So, recently I've started buying a few new makeup bits and bobs for spring; I love the pinks and peach shades in the warmer months and definitely prefer a lighter base.

In the last week I've bought the Laura Mercier oil free Tinted Moisturizer, Laura Geller Eye Dew cream eye shadow crayon and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer. 

  Anastasia Beverly Hills - Brow Definer. 

I absolutely fell in love with the Brow Wizz when they first came out and I've repurchased them so many times; I was really curious about how much better the Brow Definer could actually be. 

To start with its a much thicker tube than the brow Wizz so you get a better grasp, the spooly end is also bigger (which I love as it shapes your brows easier).

The actual pencil is triangular shaped with a very fine point to make it easier to get defined hair like strokes; (the problem I've found with this is once the pointed end is used it becomes blunt and I have found no way of sharpening it again without hacking at it and losing the shape). I have to admit it took a few goes to fathom applying it without making my eyebrows look like catapillars, and I'm still finding myself struggling with it. Once you know which way to apply it you can get very fine hair like strokes. 

If I'm being really honest I don't think this is something I'd repurchase; I love the bigger brow brush but I'm really struggling at the moment to get the right brow shape without messing up all the time. I'll give it a little longer but I'm sure in the end I'll go back to the Brow Wizz.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Brow Definer £16

  Laura Mercier - Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer. 

This is my first Laura Mercier purchase and I love it. Now that Spring is here I don't want that feeling of being smothered in foundation but I still want a little coverage; this tinted Moisteriser ticks all the boxes. It has SPF20 and you get a generous 50ml of product; if you want to sheer it out more it can easily be blended with your morning face moisturiser.  

It blends very easily with a brush or sponge and I even like to add a dab of liquid highlighter when I want a more illuminated look. It's a very versatile base product. The best and easiest way to apply this though is with your fingers, sponges are great but this is so sheer it doesn't need blending out much at all.

I'll be buying this in a darker shade for summer for sure, it's definitely worth the splurge.

  Laura Geller - Eye Dew Cream Shadow Crayon.

In spring/summer I like to wear cream shadows because they give a really dewy and healthy look to the face. I looked at buying a few Chanel cream shadow pots but I found this Laura Geller eye crayon is the same texture and colour; at half the price as the Chanel I had to try it. 

This shade is Rose Gold and would suit every eye colour, it's just a great shade to wear on its own blended out or as a base to a more dramatic summer smokey eye.

Hello guys,  

Ive recently started using Charlotte Tilbury products and I've been using one nearly every day; it's the 'Cheek to Chic' Swish & Pop blusher in the shade (First Love).  

Its such an amazing product because it gives my cheeks such a healthy but almost airbrushed look. 

In the pan it does look quite a caramel/taupe colour but on the skin it is a beautiful rose gold outer with a pop of rose pink in the middle; just perfect for light to medium skin tones. 

To use I "Swish" an angled blush brush over the outer part of the pan and lightly brush along my cheekbone just above my bronzer/contour; this gives a little colour and highlight in one. Then I dab my brush into the middle section for a "Pop" of colour on the apple of my cheeks; it gives my face a very healthy look and it's such a pretty colour for spring.

This is about as techy as I go when it comes to phones, the Lumee light up phone case. 

Every Kardashian fans lust have, every selfie queens must have. This phone case has grown in popularity over the last eight months, but is it worth the hype??? 

Its a regular accessory for the Kardashian sisters   (I admit that's where I first saw it); and they regularly post Instagram pics supposedly using only this Lumee light. I wanted to see if this miracle selfie light really did give you those 'lit from within' pictures.

  what it claims.

The Lumee case lights up the user's face with the simple push of a button. When the case is lit, the light fills in the shadows, enhancing the photo and making the subject bright and "picture perfect." Lumee also provides perfect lighting for video chatting despite the environment (Dark or shadowed)

 My Thoughts. 

After eagerly awaiting the case for nearly 2months after orderng I was so excited to get snappy with some pictures. I have to be honest and say I wasn't as blown away by it as I had hoped to be; yes it illuminates your face but the light is just too soft and gives my skin a yellow look. Even when I put the light on the brightest setting I didn't think the colour of light was particularly flattering on my skin tone. I just feel that the regular flash on my phone is as good.

One good thing the light does do is highlight my makeup, subtle eyeshadow and highlighting stands out so well I can see why people do like it. This is the main positive I have for it.

 Once the Lumee case is on I find it is very bulky; I have the IPhone 6sPlus and find my phone feeling more like a brick you'd have in the late 90s.

The case easily clips onto the back of my phone but good luck trying to get it off without ripping your nails off. I have to literally prise my phone out of the case otherwise it will not come off; not half as easy as the instructions claim. 

 Is It Worth The Hype? 

In my opinion it's not worth the money, it's more like a gimmick people buy into then leave in the back of a draw for the rest of its life. On my skin tone the light was just too yellow but it may look amazing on others.

Its very bulky once attached to my phone and is near impossible to take off
