Meliodas is a jack of all trades, as over his 3,000 years of wandering Britania and all 107 of Elizabeth's reincarnations, he's learnt a new skill.

Each Elizabeth had a different interest or passion, which Meliodas learnt and mastered, and even after each of their passings, he never forgot those skills. Because this was his way of honouring each individual reincarnation of his love.

It's why he was able to do so many things, like built and run the Boar Hat, and I also headcanon Meliodas being able to braid hair 😅.

Each reincarnation was still his Elizabeth, and so learning the one thing that made them happy was the only way for him to feel connected to them and to not lose his sanity.

Like he literally saved them from misery, punishment and/or death. We know for a fact that both Diane and Escanor was facing death sentences when he intervened. Ban had already been executed many, many times. None of them had happy lives. They were seen as criminals and monsters.

Then Meliodas came. He took them in, and he didn't just give them a purpose but also a place to belong. Somewhere where they were seen as comrades.

And they saved him too, probably without even realizing. Meliodas came to Liones after Danafor. He had just lost everything. He'd been unable to save anyone from the attack. He'd had to watch Elizabeth die, again. He was the one who destroyed the kingdom. Afterwards there were rumors of how he caused it all; a guilt which he probably already carried himself. We see in the trial and the flashbacks how close to breaking he really was. He'd watched Elizabeth die again and again and again, and he couldn't stand to do that anymore, but he also didn't know how to stop it all.

Then he came to Liones and Bartra had his vision and Meliodas and Merlin gathered the other Seven Deadly Sins. Meliodas got a purpose that wasn't just keeping Elizabeth alive. Something concrete, something he could work towards. I think in some ways, they gave him hope, that there could be an end to his and Elizabeth's suffering. They also gave him people that he could trust and that cared for him.
