If you're a left-winger today, you can get away with denouncing Marx and Lenin and Stalin, and Communism itself, and not want a violent or any other kind of revolution, not believe that history can be best explained as a class struggle, et cetera, and still keep your friends and your seat at the table.

But you can't point out the idiocy in the statements that "transwomen are women", "feminism just means equality", "Islam is a religion of peace", "Diversity Is Our Strength" and "black people can't be racist" without being labeled the enemy by everyone else within that echo chamber and never spoken to again.
