things that are inevitable

when my tormentor resides

inside my mind?

it haunts you even when ur awake

for me to move

an inch.

It took a pool of tears,

for me to be pulled

to my knees.

I move deftly,

without hesitation,

when it comes to others

but I’m

caught in stillness,

ensnared in silk web,

when it comes to myself.

for physically I may be here,

present and listening,

talking too although only seldomly,

I am mentally somewhere else,

where that is I do not know,

or perhaps I don't wanna know,

or maybe I do but I'm afraid instead,

of knowing it'd be somewhere I'm not supposed to be.

Motivation is really hard to find,

funny and downright ironic how earlier it used to come on its own,

without even calling and now every call goes unanswered.

What does it matter anyhow,

for all of this is merely a transient phase, I assume.

Away from me, whom you relentlessly cast aside, swaying as the wind blows, with each step you glide, not knowing, within the remnants of my heart, you reside, showcasing strength, taking life’s each hurdle in your stride.

From me and my weirdness, you’d fancy a getaway, perhaps wishing you did not or had never entered my fray, not that you actually did, for you just saw, what on the surface, lay, never tried to comprehend the ambiguities within, mine is but a separate pathway.
