Joshua and Sho occasionally watch documentaries instead of going to the movies when they have movie dates. They enjoy making fun of the "supernatural" ones because of how wrong they can be.

Sho remembers that Joshua only has an outdated grade 10 level of math, and proceeds to teach Joshua advanced and up to date mathematics. Joshua is fine with this because he loves seeing the passion Sho has for math.

Sho gives Joshua piggyback rides when he’s tired, and Joshua occasionally ends up falling asleep during them because it’s relaxing for him. What he doesn't know is that Sho does it so Joshua goes to sleep instead of staying up way longer than he should, because sleep deprivation is not good and Sho wants Joshua to be healthy.

Joshua gets bored and starts texting romantic musical puns to Sho. In response, Sho texts as many romantic math things he can think of to Joshua. This goes on for a few weeks and becomes one of the main ways for them to flirt.

Joshua and Sho decide to start playing Pokemon together. They each get the opposite versions of the other (Sho gets Diamond, White, X, Joshua gets Pearl, Black, Y, ect.) and work together to catch all the Pokemon. They end up naming their starters after each other and make teams to battle each other. Sometimes they’ll have contests to see who can find a shiny Pokemon first, or who can get the longest winning streak at the battle frontier.

As a joke, Joshua gives Sho a kids "How to Count!" book. Sho is slightly annoyed, but finds it funny anyways and keeps it.
