Aaaand we're live!

Gadies and lentleman! Ladies and Gentleman! Boys, girls, spaghettio's and everything in between! Welcome to the new, revamped style of the one, the only, the catdad... Mewtwo!

This time, it will be better (I promise), as we venture into a world that acts as a space for safety, creativity in all its forms and a place of inclusion. That's right -- this place is not just limited to Mewtwo, but will feature fan (and mod) favourites such as:

Cyndaquil

the Mew

Zapdos

And even Professor Oak!

What is this blog for? Well, where we formerly tried the stretch of a daily art blog, we'll now be doing all sorts of things, but at our own tempo. You can ask any of the characters above any kind of question, but also ask for advice, and they'll answer! In addition, Where Mewtwo and the other Pokémon might go on adventures and experiences (aka, short stories and art) occasionally, Professor Oak might do some poetry, on demand (asks) or freelance!

So please join us as we enter the future of possibilities!

Status update

Hi. It's been a while.

For those of you that remember me and/or still follow me: Thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your patience and most of all your loyalty. The URL for this blog has been, and continues to be, a blatant lie. I don't think that at any point in time I managed to post here daily. And I sincerely apologize for that.

Though I know there's no excuse for the way things have been on this blog, I will explain a few things under the cut, so if you're interested (or, in the case of a few of you, deserve an apology) you can scroll down.

But first, I want to talk about the future of this blog. I'll rip off the band aid: there is none. Though it is with a lot of pain in my heart, from today forward, daily-mewtwo will no longer be of any value other than the memories already in place. I'll put "defunct" in the URL once I've taken care of the next steps. You're always welcome for a stroll down memory lane. Does that mean Mewtwo will disappear? No. I plan on moving him and (a few of) his children to a new sideblog directly linked to my main account, @0the-duchess0. I also plan to follow a lot of you dear Pokémon community contributers from there. The purpose of that blog and the link will be posted after this, so keep an eye out.

Once again, thank you all for about 7 years of love, encouragement and a sense of belonging. I'll see you soon on the other side.

I have not been well. I guess I have not been well in all the years the Tumblr community knows me. I've sought help, yes, but up until now without any positive progression. Life for the past six years has been, well, messy. I've moved houses, went through the beakups and divorces of both my own and relations of those close to me. I switched studies and career. All because my life has been taking odd, unexplainable turns. And it wasn't doing much good for me atop the load I was already carrying. I grew tired. Tired of my life happening as I was planning other things. I was fighting so much to keep up, to just be able to function like any other grown up would, but it only spiralled me down more, to the point where even the things I loved doing, my hobbies, but also this blog, suffered. And if it was just me abandoning this blog, it wouldn't have been such a disaster. But I also abandoned a lot of online contacts with it, and I can't make any apology or excuse that will right the fact that I just suddenly disappeared and left people, real people with real feelings that got hurt, hanging. You know who you are. As I said, I've sought help. For years now. And I think (and I hope) that I've now finally arrived somewhere that will actually help me. The situation I'm in at the moment isn't ideal - just to be clear - but I've found some resources to figure myself out, what's wrong with me and how to help myself. Then why not just continue things on the old track? I can't. What has transpired while this blog was active has left a bittersweet taste that knows no erasure. Therefore, I want to start afresh and anew. Slowly for now, since I'm still not there yet, but more true to myself and the community I'm dealing with, if those participating in it will still be there for the new ride. Again, I've lost quite some contacts here over the years and there has been a shift in what Pokémon blogs are still posting. But I hope you, dear reader, will bear with me as I take this next step towards my transformation. I've never stopped loving Pokémon, and I never will, so I'm hoping to rekindle with my passion.

Hi there Ask-Inteleon Mod,

Thank you for your kind words and concern. I'd like to take this ask as an opportunity to tell everyone the status of me and this blog.

A lot has happened since the last time I was really active. There have been some major perosnal developments that have changed my course in life and that I had to get comfortable with. It took me a while, but I finally managed to give myself some space in this new setting, and things are starting to get back on track.

As far as this blog goes: Pokémon has been, and still is, a life long obsession. Unfortunately, it cannot be my primary focus in life and it has to share my love and attention with matters like my work, family and friends, and other obsessions (which, if you've seen my main blog, I have a lot of). I therefore can not promise how frequent I'll be able to post, but I do hope you're all willing to stick with me no matter the quantity. In that matter, I'm also thinking about renaming the blog, since the daily part has lost all meaning.

If any of you feel like sending an ask, message or anyhting else, feel absolutely free to do so. I love sharing my interest in Pokémon (particulary Mewtwo) with others. If you're new to the whole daily/ask Pokémon community: Hello there! I've been out of it for a bit so feel free to introduce yourself! :3
