Sawamura Daichi has never considered himself as a great listener until tonight, when he has lost track of the amount of times he sighs at his friend’s never-ending love life dilemma. The small local bar is oddly jam-packed with people on a Wednesday night. The chitter chatter of people could perhaps be heard from two blocks away, and the beat of the music playing on the speaker is quite catchy.  

Catchy, he thinks, but just slightly too deafening to the ears.  

House music was never his type of music, after all. The drums are much too deep and prominent that he could feel the vibrations beneath his feet as they resonate through his chest. He prefers a much more laid-back music, ones that he can sway to while cooking and ones with melodies he can hum to every now and then.  

He loosens the top button of his uniform as his eyes scan the room. People pressed up against each other by the bar (he’s glad he made a table reservation earlier in the afternoon), waitresses walking around to take or deliver orders, the disco ball lamps up on the ceiling that would blind his eyes every few seconds. Daichi takes a sip of his beer, sighing while wondering how the hell he has ended up in this dreadful place when all he wants is to be home with you.

being so close to you after a long day was the best way for Kuroo to de stress and reset

at games, you’d sit in front of him in between his legs during breaks

on the first time Lev sees it, he’s about to comment but Yaku places a hand over his mouth

because an irritated or angry Kuroo was something even Yaku didn’t like seeing

favorite positions: either you’re the little spoon, you’re face to face, or you’re laying on his chest

even though he’ll tease sometimes when you ask for cuddles, his heart clenches at how quickly you relax in his arms

if you ever say no because you’re busy, expect him to have the biggest pout

and it will not drop until you either give me the cuddle session he requested or you kiss all over his face and call him “your pretty boy”

(don’t do the second option in front of his teammates though bc he’ll never hear the end of it)

Oikawa: 

king of affection

if neither of you are doing anything and Tooru’s not cuddling you

something’s wrong

does it almost everywhere and anywhere (will glare at his fans when you’re not looking if they give you any kind of shit)

Iwaizumi usually has to pull him off you when lunch is about to end

(Matsukawa and Hanamaki also have this job when Iwa-chan can’t be bothered)

otherwise, you’d both end up missing class because he will NOT let go

kinda like Kuroo, it just becomes something he needs to slow everything down

absolutely loves spooning

will eagerly be the big or little spoon depending on y’all’s moods

on super frustrating days, expect him to come in and immediately lay on your chest

this boy is kinda a big baby at heart so expected

but Oikawa loves being your big baby

otherwise he loves when you lay on him with your leg hooked over his waist

(that’s when his hands can roam the most)

the only time he might not try to have you in his arms is an hour or so before a game starts

that’s when Tooru goes into his laser focus mode so the most you’ll get is a brief side hug

Ushijima:

he doesn’t really realize how much of a cuddling GOD he is

Ushi’s the perfect heat where you’re not cold but you also don’t get too warm too quickly

not really something he’d be used to when you first started dating unless he had a previous s/o (which yk, is unlikely because it’s Wakatoshi we’re talking about)

but if you’re really affectionate he begins to just expect it and even initiates it on his own if he hasn’t seen you in a while

almost exclusively cuddles face to face

Toshi just loves getting to hear you talk about your day 

(and who wouldn’t want to see your lovely face)

though if you’re on the couch and watching something, it’ll probably be spooning style or you’re laying on him

Ushiwaka knows he’s a big boy so he’s not trying to crush you

there’s been ONE time where he laid on you and that was after he overworked himself at practice and basically collapsed once he got home

(but the way you play with his hair in that position felt so good that he might consider doing it more)

don’t really expect Wakatoshi to be affectionate at tournaments or games

he’s not really the PDA type but you’ll at least be within arms’ reach

Daichi:

mans is the pillar captain for karasuno

but when y’all cuddle, he’s this blushy mess at first

kinda like Ushijima, he hasn’t had much past experience with an s/o

so it takes him a bit of time to warm up to it 

but once he does

he has to withhold them from you at certain times

because you will literally KNOCK TF OUT in his embrace

there’s just something so warm and comforting and safe about laying with him 

that you just fall asleep every time, so don’t expect any cuddles from him until you’re done studying or finished all your errands for the day

(unless he sees you’re really going through it then his arms are there and waiting)

honestly seems like the most versatile cuddler in terms of positions

will be the little spoon if you ask him 

doesn’t cuddle with you in front of the karasuno boys

because the rowdy bunch (tanaka, nishinoya, hinata) would make his head explode 

(but sometimes you do it on purpose because who doesn’t love Daichi’s griping voice)

KAGEYAMA: said bless you to the girl who sneezed next to y’all when you were at ukai’s store buying lunch. he didn’t even notice the look you were giving him and just went on about his day like usual. you didn’t touch your lunch after that and he’s just like “aw babe you aren’t hungry?” making you even more furious. doesn’t get the hint til you just blatantly tell him. had to suffer your cold shoulder for the rest of the day

ATSUMU: wbk atsumu was popular with everyone so that meant whenever he’s around people just naturally flock to him and talk to him abt the simplest of things. well this happened a bit too frequently and you can’t take it anymore. you cant even act all lovey dovey without someone suddenly butting in your conversation and joking around with your man. was he the school’s boyfriend or yours? you don’t even know. atsumu can feel your annoyance go through the roof little by little and tried to calmly tell the people around him to like leave y’all alone but when that doesn’t work…. guess he’s stuck with them til you cool off on your own :D 

OSAMU: hot take: osamu is too nice to other people for his own good which is why you’re mad at him right now. maybe it was the time of the month speaking for you but the shit he pulled still rubbed you the wrong way. today at work he acted like a wholeass gentleman to this lady who entered his shop even going as far as getting her chair before she sat and all that shit and boy were you jealpis. didn’t even help that atsumu was laughing at you and kept teasing you about “it’s just for publicity” but with that smile he used that was reserved for yours? you don’t think so. someone ate dinner alone that day and slept in the couch
