Summary: Semi’s trying to come to terms with your break-up, calling you once again as an attempt to figure himself out. Part 1 of Giveon ‘When It’s All Said and Done’ series for my grand opening event. Hope y’all enjoy (or cry, crying is good)

Hearing your phone’s ringer go off in the middle of the night is never pleasant, and the only thing that can make it even more unpleasant? Realizing it’s a call from your ex. “Semi, I thought you promised you wouldn’t be calling anymore.” 

The exhaustion in your voice is evident as you cut past the greetings, but he can’t really tell if it’s from the fact he’s pulled you from your slumber or if these attempts have become futile in the months following your breakup.

“You haven’t responded to my texts, Y/N, so I thought this was the next best thing.” His biting tone is baffling when he was the one who woke you up, once again reminding you of why you broke up with him. The two of you were like fire and ice, and you had spent so much of yourself warming his colder spirit up that by the end, you were about to fall apart from the frostbite. 

Sometimes, though, you find yourself yearning for that cold. You remember how you found the real Eita on the first day of summer. His smile seeped into your bloodstream, dampening the flames so that you could breathe in fresh air instead of the smoke you had been so accustomed too. However, those memories were shrouded by disappointment at what could’ve been as you hear him sigh. “Just... finding that I’ve been missing your smile a lot more than I thought… Do you ever think that about me?” The vulnerability in this admission causes you to cup your hand over your mouth, holding in the ‘yes’ that begs to slip out. Even with time and your phones separating you from him, he still managed to read you perfectly, but you weren’t planning on letting him in again.

“Semi, it’s late... Why did you actually call?”

Why did I call? He thinks, searching his mind for what you could say to him to make any of this better. What could comfort him about the fact that you have someone new to offer your warmth to? Lately, it seems that the drop in temperature keeps reminding him of how he found you in the winter. Your love breathed life into parts of him that he assumed to be long dead while you tried to carefully tend every piece of him. But as his frost nearly destroyed you, your heat had him drowning in all the feelings you melted down in your wake. Still, he found himself craving that experience in comparison to the once again frozen walls that surrounded him and the desolate pit in his stomach at knowing he had lost you. 

What would’ve happened if he found you in your spring? When your grassy fields would have soaked in his melted snow, and his cool winds wouldn’t have left you alone and shivering. 

What if you had found him in his fall? When his brittle, fallen leaves would have welcomed your flames of a new beginning, and your sunlight would haven’t have felt so harsh on his skin.

Getting to experience the first day of snowfall in the winter with Akaashi is unmatched. Basically any plans the two of you had for the day are thrown out the window the second you wake up to the flurries falling outside, but this also means you’re about to get clingy!Keiji! He’s on average a 6.5/10 on the affection scale, but when the rain comes, he might be as bad as Bokuto (with an average 9.9/10) with how much he smothers you in love. He’ll pull you in for a lazy cuddle, wrapping his arm around your waist and muttering a quiet good morning, and the two of you just silently take in each others’ presence as the bright light of the snowfall streams into your room. As nice as it is, actually starting your day with him would be nice, but that becomes a very big feat on rainy days. Akaashi tries to reason that the drop in temperature means he needs to find that extra warmth from you, and his playful side comes out as his grip around you tightens at each attempt you make to get out of bed. The only reason he finally lets you go is that he finds the two of you need to eat, but even in the kitchen, he’ll always have you within arms reach, stealing a kiss on the cheek and also a bit of whatever you’re cooking. If you don’t have any work to do, you’ll find that you’re quickly back in bed, watching your favorite movies and shows with him as he continues to steal the soft glances and breathless kisses started in the kitchen. Something about that first snowfall makes Akaashi feel sentimental, and each year, he’ll use it as an opportunity to remind you of the boy you fell in love with so long before.

Iwaizume loves getting to come home to you. Like nothing beats that moment when he opens your front door and sees you jump up from the couch to properly welcome him back with a hug. Whatever long day Hajime had quickly melts away as you perfectly sense what he needs. May that be the ordering agedashi tofu from the place he thinks cooks it just right or even the simple “how was your day?” that you’ll give upon seeing his fatigued expression. The second he’s out of your embrace he’ll go change into his house clothes, and the two of you will just lay in bed talking about everything that happened since the last time you were separated. Iwa always lays his head in your lap or on your chest, giving a silent invitation to play with his hair (and he’s fallen asleep in that position more times than he’d like to admit). It’s also his favorite position because it’s the best way for him to see your expressions as he divulges about his day and what crazy new thing happened with the team. And every single time like clockwork, you’ll catch him staring at you warmly and after a certain point in your relationship, you’ll learn to return those glances, giggling at how soft he’s become before leaning in to kiss his forehead. Iwaizumi’s such a calming and supportive force to everyone around him, and even when he doesn’t admit it often, that can be an extremely exhausting role to always play. So when he comes home to you, he’ll find himself falling deeper and deeper at the way you’re able to take a bit of that weight off of him and let him just be Hajime.

Yes my event is very much still open so thank you for sending in a request🥺 💖  this song reminds me of a song you’d hear in a teen rom com at the end where they’ve hit the like high school dance and the two main characters finally get together (and I mean this in the best way possible since I love the high school dance trope since my high school didn’t have dances other than prom)

Atsumu’s least favorite moment whenever the two of you go on a date is when he has to drop you off at the end. His mind races to find just one more reason to spend time with you, and the way he inserts a new activity is so smooth that you don’t even realize that this part of the date was unplanned. Mans is a master of turning an originally two-hour date into a six-hour date. He’ll try to not run into the time you allotted for school or work (usually), but if y’all just finished a dinner and movie? Of course, Tsumu knows the perfect place to go for some ice cream. A walk in the park near your place? He’ll suggest that you two should check out that cafe and bookstore you’ve been eyeing. Late night food run? Well, now you guys might as well drive around for a bit. Even when the two of you are at your front door, Atsumu will make an excuse about how Osamu’s out right now and he doesn’t want to be home alone. Once you catch onto what he’s doing and scold him for keeping you out too long, he’ll wear this innocent smirk, snaking his arms around your waist. “Doll, you know I love spending time with you. Just didn’t want to end.” To Atsumu, time with you is intoxicating, and it’s a fix he won’t let go of anytime soon.

I LOVE THAT SONG omg Troye’s been a favorite since Blue Neighborhood and thank youuuu omg 🙈 y’all are too kind! (but the fact that Bokuto is a Virgo is so funny to me because does he not give more Cancer vibes? He can be really smart and logical at times though so valid. He’s a Virgo-Libra cusp so maybe that’s where the chaos comes from alsdlkaklhk) (also I got very VERY carried away with this one because I’m becoming a Bokuto simp day by day and I can’t control it)

Early mornings are his favorite times of day because he has this undiluted level of intimacy that caught you off guard when you two first started dating. It’s not necessarily because Bokuto’s tired (the man is a pure ball of unbridled energy) but what actually happens is that he’s learned how to match your energy in those moments. You don’t need the ‘grand ace of the MSBY Adlers’ during those times, you need Bokuto Koutarou, your loving boyfriend. So he absolutely loves it when he wakes up before you. He’ll press a light kiss to your forehead and carefully get out of bed to make you breakfast and I don’t think this should be a surprise to anyone since Bokuto has two older sisters but the man knows how to throw down in the kitchen. He makes your favorites and places it on this really pretty tray (he bought it specifically for these occasions) and by this point you’re already awake because your personal space heater left and that’s hard not to notice. Y’all both have this dopey smile when you make eye contact because you guys are just so loved up, and Koutarou finds that this is when he can be his best with you because you do so much for him. The amount of times he’s sent you to work with a slightly lost voice from cheering him on the night before, the sleep he’s made you lose from calling him while he’s on an away trip, the babysitting you and Sakusa have to do when (what I call the terrible triplets) he, Hinata, and Atsumu get rowdy... None of this is lost on Bokuto, and the sleepy grin he gets from you upon seeing yet another breakfast in bed reminds him that he’d do a million more of these to see you happy.

😭 ajklahkda it’s alright I’m only mildly into astrology because of my friends but I don’t really take it seriously either (ALSO I’m sorry if it feels like I take a while to do these I really be overcontemplating every little thing and I haven’t written for Suna much so I really wanted to take my time)

Once Suna decided he liked you, his team found that the two of you were their main source of entertainment instead of the twins with how much he liked to rile you up. He definitely has a playful side, and it was apparent from one of your first few dates: rollerskating. Ofc he’s bound to be good at it because of how much bodily control he has, and this’ll be something that he happily holds over your head while you struggle to get your bearings. “If you need something to hold onto, sweetheart, I’m right here.” “You’re an ass, Rintaro.” And even though Suna’s tone is the same as always, you’re not blind to his relaxed smirk as he holds out his hand for you. You begrudgingly take the help and the second you relax into the slow pace he’s pulling you at, he’ll speed up without any warning. This is the first time you ever hear Rintaro chuckle as your protests (read as: exclaims) for him to slow down match the death grip you have on his hand. You’re about to gripe at him once again for messing with you, but your breath catches in your throat as he masterfully turns to face you. “Don’t worry, I’m not letting you go.”  His expression tells you that he means more than the gentle but secure hold he has on your hands, and that’s the moment you realize this boy, Suna Rintaro, might just be the death of you.
