The apartment was unusually quiet as you placed the last dish on the table, taking one final look around the dining room. Soft fairy lights glowed along the shelves, candles flickered gently, and the bouquet of white flowers you'd picked that morning rested in the center of the table.

The table completely filled with all of his favorite meals.
His eyes slowly traveled from one plate to another before settling on you.
"...You made all of this?"

"I wanted your first dinner home to feel special."

Instead, he walked back toward you and gently cupped your face.
"You've been planning this, haven't you?"
"For weeks."
A quiet laugh escaped him, though his eyes had already begun to glisten.

"I know."
"But I wanted you to come home knowing how loved you are."
He rested his forehead against yours.
"I dreamed about coming home every single day."
"And?"
He smiled softly.
"This is even better."
After changing into comfortable clothes, the two of you settled at the table together.
Conversation came easily, as if no time had passed at all.
He told you funny stories from military life.
You filled him in on everything he'd missed.
Every now and then, he'd pause mid-conversation just to look at you.
"What?"
"I'm making sure this is real."
You reached across the table and intertwined your fingers with his.
"It's real."
Dinner stretched late into the evening, not because there was so much food, but because neither of you wanted the night to end.
Eventually, the dishes were forgotten in the sink.
The candles had nearly burned out.
Curled up together on the couch beneath your favorite blanket, Jeonghan rested his head against yours with a content sigh.
"You know," he murmured.
"Hm?"
"I kept imagining what coming home would feel like."

IF SOMEONE HAD ASKED MINHO a few years ago what was a must for him while looking for a partner, heâd have answered that they had to love his cats as much as he did.
that was before he found out that everybody knew how to act the part. first, theyâd act interested and ask all the right questions, but when they eventually moved in together, theyâd start complaining.

frankly, he didnât think he was going to get a girlfriend who loved his cats as much as him. heâd already crossed it out from his mental checklist for finding a girlfriend.
that was until he met you.
when he mentioned his cats on your first date, you seemed genuinely interested in them. he didnât think much of it, you were just putting on the performative act everybody put on. trying to get on his good side, he told himself.
the first time you met his cats was when you went over to his place when he was sick. you made him soup, took care of his laundry, and most importantly (to him), entertained soonie, doongie, and dori.
you watched cartoons with them and made their a thousand step food, that even minho found annoying sometimes, without complaint.
still, he convinced himself that you still wouldnât be able to deal with living with three cats for a long period of time.
now, after a year of living with him at his apartment, he has never heard you complain once. youâd let them sleep on the bed and didnât show even a hint of annoyance when soonie scratched you.
minho was currently on a business trip, so you were home with the cats. thatâs when you noticed that dori had been acting strange. he hadnât peed today though he normally pees three times a day. he looked like he was straining every time he used the litter box and he kept licking his genital area.
you werenât some cat expert, but your gut told you something was wrong, so you took him to the vet.
âheâs very lucky you took him in today. it looks like he has a urinary blockage, things wouldâve been life-threatening if you brought him in even a day later.â the vet said, still examining dori. âweâll have to do some x-rays and blood work to assess his kidney values and electrolyte levels first, but heâll have to stay here for at least two days.â
the vet took dori away for the x-rays and blood tests while you signed the paperwork, then you facetimed minho.
âjagiya?â he answered the phone, sweaty and out of breath. âwhatâs up?â
âdori has a urinary blockage. heâs getting his blood work and x-ray done.â
âwhat?â you could hear the shock in his voice. âhowâd you find out?â
âhe hasnât been peed for a day.â
âand you noticed?â
âof course i did,â you said matter-of-factly âtheyâre like my kids.â
minho looked at you on his screen like you hung the stars.
âi could like, marry you.â you laughed at his words, but he wasnât joking. âiâm dead serious, yn.â
âiâll look forward to the proposal then,â you giggled. âthe nurse just called for me. iâll update you later, kay?â
the vet said dori would need to go on a strict wet food diet, so you got all the food recommendations he had and got a new, more interesting water fountain because it would apparently encourage dori to drink more water.
minho came back a week later, and it was like he loved you even more than before, if that was even possible.
he couldnât stop thanking you for âsaving doriâs lifeâ and pampered you with kisses for the entire week.
that was the moment he knew you were the one for him
and of course, the promised proposal came half a year after.

We were displaced twice. Everything was goneâhome, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebrationânot even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadnât felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.
Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.
Today, Israelâs government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forcesânot Israelâbut with no clear path to peace or normalcy.
The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.

so we basically have another confirmation that heeseung wonât return to enhypen, and honestly? i want to focus on another part this article mentioned.
belift basically admitted that they wonât give any freedom for the members to do solo projects while being in a member of enhypen. this includes the remaining 6 as well. and thatâs very shitty. seriously? solo, or leave?
âenhypenâs schedule remains extremely demandingâŚâ and who sets that system up? cmon now. we been knew how overworked the members are, and see? belift rather make them put up with their 100th âoppa do aegyoâ fancalls rather than give them rest or even focus on making solo music. that made me ask, is a hiatus not possible in that company orâŚ?
honestly, i donât think i have been in a peace of mind ever since last tuesday and i kept refreshing my twt for news and updates. but everytime, it keeps on dissapointing me.
a member can leave a group, thatâs fine. a member can get kicked out, that happens too. however, itâs not fair and itâs very devastating to make him leave with just one letter and now gone (as i type this there are still NO news of heeseungâs wellbeing) after 6 years of watching him. especially as a predebut engene.
and to be honest to everyone, at one point i started thinking âi donât care about his future plans rn, i donât care about if heâs gonna return or not, i just wanna know if heeseungâs okay. is he eating well? is he spending time with his family rn?â i just stopped with the formalities and started missing heeseung :(
and to the other fandoms, iâm sorry on the behalf of the other engenes who are spreading the word and asking other fandoms to spread tags and is becoming âvery annoyingâ, i feel like, everyone has just lost it because heeseung is such a significant member of enhypen, just like how jay, jake, sunghoon, sunoo, jungwon and ni-ki are. itâs justâŚreally hard you know? one day youâre watching then laughing together and then one random tuesday one member left the group. but itâs nice to have some empathy, yk? you can hate us but never, never ever defend that label. because? i kid you not your faves might be next with the way that asscrack was moving. #hybehater
