IF SOMEONE HAD ASKED MINHO a few years ago what was a must for him while looking for a partner, he’d have answered that they had to love his cats as much as he did.
that was before he found out that everybody knew how to act the part. first, they’d act interested and ask all the right questions, but when they eventually moved in together, they’d start complaining.
“there’s cat hair all over my clothes”
“they keep waking me up at the crack of dawn”
“why do you need me to take care of them? cant you just, i dont know, get an automatic feeding system for them?”
frankly, he didn’t think he was going to get a girlfriend who loved his cats as much as him. he’d already crossed it out from his mental checklist for finding a girlfriend.
that was until he met you.
when he mentioned his cats on your first date, you seemed genuinely interested in them. he didn’t think much of it, you were just putting on the performative act everybody put on. trying to get on his good side, he told himself.
the first time you met his cats was when you went over to his place when he was sick. you made him soup, took care of his laundry, and most importantly (to him), entertained soonie, doongie, and dori.
you watched cartoons with them and made their a thousand step food, that even minho found annoying sometimes, without complaint.
still, he convinced himself that you still wouldn’t be able to deal with living with three cats for a long period of time.
now, after a year of living with him at his apartment, he has never heard you complain once. you’d let them sleep on the bed and didn’t show even a hint of annoyance when soonie scratched you.
minho was currently on a business trip, so you were home with the cats. that’s when you noticed that dori had been acting strange. he hadn’t peed today though he normally pees three times a day. he looked like he was straining every time he used the litter box and he kept licking his genital area.
you weren’t some cat expert, but your gut told you something was wrong, so you took him to the vet.
“he’s very lucky you took him in today. it looks like he has a urinary blockage, things would’ve been life-threatening if you brought him in even a day later.” the vet said, still examining dori. “we’ll have to do some x-rays and blood work to assess his kidney values and electrolyte levels first, but he’ll have to stay here for at least two days.”
the vet took dori away for the x-rays and blood tests while you signed the paperwork, then you facetimed minho.
“jagiya?” he answered the phone, sweaty and out of breath. “what’s up?”
“dori has a urinary blockage. he’s getting his blood work and x-ray done.”
“what?” you could hear the shock in his voice. “how’d you find out?”
“he hasn’t been peed for a day.”
“and you noticed?”
“of course i did,” you said matter-of-factly “they’re like my kids.”
minho looked at you on his screen like you hung the stars.
“i could like, marry you.” you laughed at his words, but he wasn’t joking. “i’m dead serious, yn.”
“i’ll look forward to the proposal then,” you giggled. “the nurse just called for me. i’ll update you later, kay?”
the vet said dori would need to go on a strict wet food diet, so you got all the food recommendations he had and got a new, more interesting water fountain because it would apparently encourage dori to drink more water.
minho came back a week later, and it was like he loved you even more than before, if that was even possible.
he couldn’t stop thanking you for “saving dori’s life” and pampered you with kisses for the entire week.
that was the moment he knew you were the one for him
and of course, the promised proposal came half a year after.

The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.

so we basically have another confirmation that heeseung won’t return to enhypen, and honestly? i want to focus on another part this article mentioned.
belift basically admitted that they won’t give any freedom for the members to do solo projects while being in a member of enhypen. this includes the remaining 6 as well. and that’s very shitty. seriously? solo, or leave?
“enhypen’s schedule remains extremely demanding…” and who sets that system up? cmon now. we been knew how overworked the members are, and see? belift rather make them put up with their 100th “oppa do aegyo” fancalls rather than give them rest or even focus on making solo music. that made me ask, is a hiatus not possible in that company or…?
honestly, i don’t think i have been in a peace of mind ever since last tuesday and i kept refreshing my twt for news and updates. but everytime, it keeps on dissapointing me.
a member can leave a group, that’s fine. a member can get kicked out, that happens too. however, it’s not fair and it’s very devastating to make him leave with just one letter and now gone (as i type this there are still NO news of heeseung’s wellbeing) after 6 years of watching him. especially as a predebut engene.
and to be honest to everyone, at one point i started thinking “i don’t care about his future plans rn, i don’t care about if he’s gonna return or not, i just wanna know if heeseung’s okay. is he eating well? is he spending time with his family rn?” i just stopped with the formalities and started missing heeseung :(
and to the other fandoms, i’m sorry on the behalf of the other engenes who are spreading the word and asking other fandoms to spread tags and is becoming “very annoying”, i feel like, everyone has just lost it because heeseung is such a significant member of enhypen, just like how jay, jake, sunghoon, sunoo, jungwon and ni-ki are. it’s just…really hard you know? one day you’re watching then laughing together and then one random tuesday one member left the group. but it’s nice to have some empathy, yk? you can hate us but never, never ever defend that label. because? i kid you not your faves might be next with the way that asscrack was moving. #hybehater

Sometime ago Belift posted the official notice about heeseung leaving ENHYPEN on X, Heeseung also wrote a post on weverse showing his gratitude towards engenes and saying a final goodbye. From his post we understand he want to release his own solo songs. But that could be done even by being in the group, so many kpop groups have done this, millions of them. We feel Belift forced heeseung to leave the group as he wanted to produce his own music. They don't want any member having a solo career while being in the group for their own selfish reasons. Heeseung would never leave the group on his own seeing how much he loves engenes, he wrote songs like blossom, highway 1009 for engenes, these prove his love for us. Recently he has been seen looking very upset and depressed. I'm sure it's because of Belift. I request the engenes who live in Korea to find out the reality and once we are sure Belift did this then let's start sending protest trucks, boycotting belift and whatever we can to bring Heeseung back. If its found that is heeseung's own decision then let's support him!! What we have been told is just a cover story but we need to know the truth!! We deserve to know the truth!! Pls engenes let's support each other and contribute in any way we can to stop Belift and bring Heeseung back!!

Just to be clear, this is not hating on heeseung or enhypen, this is showing how belift may have had a part in him leaving, consider how his letter worded some of the sentences
a member of a popular boy group leaving, that too without any controversy. a member who has had a very clean reputation all throughout his career. the member who was the center of their lore, the one who was the "main vocalist" left the group to pursue his solo career because his music interest were "distinct" as compared to group's music. while yeonjun from txt is a very popular member with a very distinctive music state as compared to txt is doing well in both his solo and group career. So the reason sounds utter bs.
i refuse to believe this is the only reason because this doesn't make any sense. this can't be the only reason. i have a feeling that this won't end well. they were growing so rapidly as a group, now suddenly they removed the member knowing how steps like that affects popularity of both the group as well as the member. It's either another controversy is about to take place, or belift want to debut another boy group and pay more attention to them so they are trying to hinder enhypen's growth as a whole. This is so self destructive on so many levels for belift.
Source music did the same with gfriend when they wanted to debut le serrafim. why debut people when you can't even manage them properly. i have been into kpop for as long as i can remember and i know once the company makes a decision as big as making a member leave, they never bring them back to the group. i don't want to have a fake hope that he would be back in enhypen cause it will just hurt more if he didn't.
also why would he leave when enhypen had their contract renewal next year. why terminate the contract just 1 year before the renewal when he could've easily left the group next year. it was just one more year, fans would've understood about the whole solo career then.
they were happy and giggly not long ago, we all saw it in the china fansign event. literally happened out of the blue.
heeseung, i hope you aren't hurting much. i hope there isn't anything more to this. i hope rest of the enhypen members are coping well, it won't be same. you all forever will be 7 in my heart.
